Swr help

So I’ve been fighting a swr rating of 3 for a while now and Ive changed everything multiple times now and still the reading stays hovering around 3. I’ve got a Stryker sr-955hp and a Stryker sr-a10 antenna and yes the antenna is mounted to bare metal and grounded to the frame I’ve also included a pic of my power and ground running to the battery(the only red and black wires not wrapped in harness tape). I bought a roof mount but it’s the wrong fitting so could yall also help to tell me what mount I need that’ll take the threads on my antenna

Swr help

So I have a post in this thread but I don’t know how to add pics after the fact but bottom line is I’m having swr issues even tho I feel like I’ve grounded everything properly(reads at a 3). I’ve ground away the paint at the antenna mounting point and ran a wire to the frame and body during 2 different test and nothing changes. I have a roof mount but it’s the wrong connector so could someone either give me a better idea on how to ground the antenna or point me in the direction of the proper magnetic mount to get.(in the pics the red and black wires without the harness tape are the power and ground for the radio itself)

High swr on Stryker sr-955hp with Stryker sr a-10

I don’t know much about this stuff but I know see is bad and mine sits at about 3 or a lil above on most channels and I attempted to adjust my antenna length with did even out the difference in swr from Chanel 1-40 but didn’t lower it and ig my question is should I move my antenna or try to ground it better?

My headliner trim has some surface rust that really bothers me and I’m curious about what it’s made from so I know how to go about cleaning it up
