Rebuilding a crashed 06 Goldwing - cluster issues.
The speedometer doesn’t work. I get a pulse from the VSS but the speedometer needle and the cruise control don't work (the odometer works without issues). I took the cluster out and it turns out that the casing behind the speedo's stepper motor was smashed and touching the coil below. Can that be the issue? Is there anything else I should be looking out for? Thank you
2006 Goldwing Speedo
Can somebody help me troubleshoot the speedo on my 2006 GL1800? This is the situation:
1.- Speedo and cruise control not working.
2.- Odometer and everything has no issues. I get about 38MPG.
3.- When I measure with a voltmeter at the plug in the image below I see a pulse going from 0 to 12 V when I rotate the wheel. I assume this means the VSS is working correctly.
4.- This makes me think that the issue needs to be further upstream, but I don't know where. I see no issues or broken wires anywhere around the meter.
Any ideas on how to keep troubleshooting? Thanks!
'94 GSXR 750: Having a hell of a time bleeding the brakes after a full rebuild...
Any suggestions? I have tried bleeding the standard way. I have tried pushing fluid from the calipers. I've built a DIY bleeder pushing compressed air through a hole on an old reservoir cap.
Best I've been able to get is a mushy lever. No leaks anywhere.
I thought I was on this sub when I saw it.
How do I start??
I'm considering the digital nomad life for a few years, but I'm a bit overwhelmed on where to start. Is there a platform where I can get going? I would rather pay money and have it all done properly than piecemeal it myself.
I've found https://digitalnomads.world and https://citizenremote.com/ but they seem like marketplaces to find people. Ideally, I would like a service where I pay a fee, select a country, and I know everything is set up for me to pack up and go.
Does that thing exist? Thanks!
