I’ll never go back to the trades

I’ve been working installing solar panels and construction for the past 25 years. Before the summer, I quit my job because being on the roof all summer along and waking up at 4 o’clock in the morning to drive all over the place was killing me. I got a job bartending at a bar on the beach. I made really good money installing solar panels, but make quite a bit more bartending, working about half as much as I did doing solar. My life has completely changed and I’ll never go back to the trades.

Turning down massive amounts of material. Maybe y’all have a solution

I have a friend offering me eight pallets worth of broken AC units (about 8-10) and 4x50 horsepower motors. I just don’t have the means to load everything and get it to my storage. The motors are over 500 pounds apiece and still have giant cast iron fittings connected to the motors as well. I have a week and a half to make my decision but the shop doesn’t play any games and if I accept they just want it gone with no song at dance.

Completely baked and solid except for the end that is frayed

Pretty big fire from the local homeless encampment chard almost a whole block. After they cleaned everything up and took everything that was easily scrapped. They pushed a bunch of this stuff along with all their burnt up tents into a pile. What can I even do with this? There’s still a bunch piled up on the street , but I didn’t grab it because I don’t think there’s much that I can do with it. I don’t even think a scrapyard will take it but maybe y’all have some advice.
