How much is this old unused bridge worth in scrap?

How much is this old unused bridge worth in scrap?

Our city isn’t using anymore, they offered my company to dismantle it.

Solid gold contacts?

Some of the electronic components from inside of an old 60s electronic organ I got for free at a church. Not positive but pretty sure they’re gold contacts.

Bicycle wheels and spokes.

So, I picked up a bike and nex thing you know, I've got three bikes. So I start looking into what it takes to break one down, and I decide I want to split the spokes/hub off from the rim because the rim is aluminum. Problem is, spokes are ferrous. I cut about three or four with handheld cutters before deciding I didn't want to do that anymore. I took a sawzall to a few more, that was slow. Then I found out, much to my chagrin, these things are threaded and held on with screw caps. An electric screwdriver made this way less painful, if not faster.

So, there's your tip for the day that I learned the hard way. If you're thinking "I already knew that," then you're ahead of the game. Some of us learn this stuff the hard way, and I'm envious of those who have the benefit of an easy break.

Is this copper?

Reminants of old telephone wire I think, sure looks like copper and turns pink when I bend it also tastes like copper. I want to be positive that this is copper before I go on a retrival mission please help identify.

Contemplating breaking these down

About to watch some YouTube videos. The windings are definitely copper but may have a coating which I believe would make it less worth breaking down 20+ of them

Copper obtained legally

I sure do love having a job that allows me to scrap copper through legal means just like everyone else in here🙂

Fire wire

I work in fire alarm and have started saving the scrap wire. I have 14, 16, and 18 gauge. All the wire is solid core, plenum wire. Is it worth stripping or should I just sell it as it sits? I have maybe 50 or 60lbs from the last job I did so I should have a high quantity rather frequently. Is it worth stripping, melting and casting, or just leave it?

Thank you for your response.

Forks from fork trucks

My father has ten forks from fork trucks in his barn. They’re old, 50-60 years, so I doubt they’d fit any trucks from these days.

I know nothing about scrap. They weigh about 160 pounds each. What might I expect to get for the lot? If it’s an insignificant amount I’ll call a scrapper to come pick them up for free, otherwise I’ll load them in pickup and scrap them myself. Thanks.

Is this worth stripping?

What kind of wire is this? Is it worth paying 3 bucks a pound? Around 500 pounds available
