Manus Free? It's not Free> **Blocked mid-task by a limit that was never disclosed — "Free for a limited time" is misleading

I hit the daily limit on a model that says "Free for a limited time." The message says it resets at 02:00 but doesn't say in which timezone.

Normally I'd just pay and move on. I can't. I got refunded recently and now the system won't let me start a new subscription either. So free is capped, paid is blocked, and my task is sitting there half done.

I've explained this to four different support agents. Every time someone new picks it up they start from scratch. I took a break, came back, got a new agent, asked him to read the chat above, and got a completely different answer than the one before.

I've spent over $10k on credits here in the last few months. I'm not asking for a favour. I just want someone to unblock my account today so I can finish what I started.

If anyone from Manus reads this, I'll DM you my email and ticket numbers.

Anyone else had this after a refund?

Manus charged me $50 via "auto top-up" overnight — while I had 70k+ credits sitting in my account

Woke up to an email from Manus (noreply@mail.manus.im) timestamped 09:01 saying "Your auto top-up was successful" — $50 added to my account, dated 2026-05-29.

The problem: I never manually triggered this, and don't recall ever knowingly enabling auto top-up. The charge just happened in the background while I wasn't even using the platform.

Here's the part that makes no sense: I have 70,000+ credits in my account. Auto top-up is supposed to kick in when you're running low. There's zero reason it should fire when I'm nowhere near empty. So either the feature is broken, or it's misconfigured to bill regardless of balance — neither is acceptable.

$50 isn't huge, but a tool charging your card unprompted overnight — especially when you're already loaded with credits — is a trust problem, not a money problem.

Has anyone else had Manus auto top-up fire without setting it up, or while you still had plenty of credits? How did you get it refunded, and where's the setting to turn it off? Trying to gauge if this is a one-off or a pattern before I escalate with my payment provider.

Is this normal on a new Studio Display (nano-texture)? Apple themselves can’t agree.

Just bought a Studio Display with the nano-texture (matte) finish. A few things are bothering me and I’d love a sanity check from people who own one before I decide whether to return.
What I’m seeing (photos attached):
1. The nano-texture surface itself — looks a bit grainy/sparkly at certain angles. I assume this is just how etched matte glass looks, but want to confirm.
2. There seems to be a small gap / visible seam between the glass and the aluminum frame. Not sure if it’s just the normal seal or actually uneven.
3. A mark/scratch on the aluminum chassis. Could be a scratch, could be a smudge — hard to tell.
Here’s the frustrating part: I called Apple Support about it.
• The support agent didn’t know if it was normal and initially told me to just return it.
• Then they called the store.
• The store said it’s normal.
• Then they called someone else internally.
• Bottom line: Apple themselves couldn’t give me a consistent answer on whether this is normal or a defect.
I’m still within the 14-day return window, so I can send it back — but reordering, waiting for delivery, setting it up again is a lot of energy I’d rather not spend if this is genuinely how every Studio Display looks.
So to current Studio Display (nano-texture) owners:
• Does your unit look the same in these areas?
• Is the glass-to-aluminum seam visible on yours too?
• Any marks on the aluminum out of the box?
Photos in the comments / below. Thanks in advance.
