iwtl more resources to microlearn and read new things

Found a microlearning newsletter called a little wiser newsletter, three bite-sized lessons on completely different topics, three times a week, readable in under three minutes. One edition might cover how Hannibal crossed the Alps, the psychology of loss aversion, and how IPOs work. The next might be Einstein's time dilation, Keynesian economics, and Shakespeare's sonnets.

Looking for more like this? Or websites etc

  1. No phone within half an hour of waking up (avoid dopmaine spikes and distraction).
  2. Sunlight as early in the day as possible (for your sleep cycle and energy)
  3. Read! I started with newsletters. Slowly i got curious about more things and started picking up actual books. If you want to start i'd say find 2 or 3 newsletters you genuinely look forward to. A news one, an industry one, one just interesting general stuff one. A little wiser is good for that last category, history lessons, science bits, random knowledge that sticks with you.
  4. Plan out your day the night before. Not religiously hour by hour but the important tasks to get done and one thing to look forward to as a reward.
  5. Read up on the placebo effect and how positive thoughts = positive feelings. Being carefree and enjoying hard work or the day to day mundane things really does help.

If you build the small habits it snowballs. Reading is probably the highest roi thing you can do with 10 minutes a day.
