My child is 15 and a little social butterfly. She has been friends with a few kids in the neighborhood for over 10 years and going to school has only made that friend group bigger.

At some point, I became "dad" to about 6 other kids. Whoever comes over to hang out, they always make a point to come say hi to me, give me a hug and call me "dad" to get my attention. I ask them about their day, how they're doing in school and offer any advice that it suitable to the situation.

So it got me thinking, how many of us are out there?

The dads that go the extra mile for kids that aren't even theirs. That show how a father should treat their child for those who may not have the best home life.
