“Hype Moments and Aura > Everything else” ~ Suzanne Collins 2008
[PJOTV] Both are flawed adaptations but why am I seeing an uptick here (nowhere else lol) of people straight up saying the movies were fantastic all of a sudden?
People can like what they like of course but I can definitely tell this is mainly happening in reaction to the show‘s divisive reception. Reminds me of a situation with The Boys show where people were so disappointed with the last season, they tried to pretend the hated comics were masterpieces.
Be honest, what would you do if you lost your ENTIRE career’s worth of writing work?
Thankfully this hasn’t happened but it’s every author’s worst fear.
What is the timespan of your novel or series?
I often hear people say that the timespan of the Acotar books being just 2 to 3 years or the Heroes of Olympus timeline being 7 months are ridiculous compressed and hurt the story believability.
It almost makes me self-conscious of my planned YA Mafia story considering all four books take place over the timespan of about just four months. Going from an average high school punk to near leader of the criminal underworld, going through dramatic maturity and growth as well as surviving an international gang war with his squad, talk about a speed run.
Do any of you guys have works that take place over a relatively short timespan?
Petition to make the next episode at least 3 hours long
Also, where is Ryan?!
How would you react if the Supe Virus was actually released at the end?
Envision this. Homelander has been killed by other means since the virus won’t do him in. However at the end, Butcher does something unforgivable and unleashes it anyway while the team wasn’t paying him any mind.
The virus as described, spreads across the earth wiping out remaining bad Supes. However, it also kills all the old Supes in that nursing home, it wipes out Golden Geisha right as she and Bombsight have the chance to reconnect, it kills Starlight, Kimiko and pretty much the remaining good Supes as well, it wipes out the many kids that currently have V in their bloodstream, Ryan as well if he isn’t immune and it wipes out all the Godolkin students including the cast of Gen V.
And then after all that, it won’t even stick since V has been leaked from Vought a long time ago and can be recreated by anyone so there will never truly be a way to get rid of Supes.
What do you guys think of this ending scenario? Think Butcher’s ends justify the means?
Personally for me, any timeline where Emma doesn’t get to live a long happy life with the Gen V cast shouldn’t exist.
