Funny marketplace post

Funny marketplace post

Came across this listing on marketplace and found it funny, the whole thing sounds like it’s written by a 18 year old car salesman. The fact he says it says it pulls hard and sounds great implies to me that this things been beat to shit, and him listing that it needs a lower control arm points more to that lol and somehow that’s last on the list of cons. I msged asking for the vin so I could carfax it and dude got upset saying I need to go in person to see.

Is this a decent deal?

What are your all’s thoughts on this, it’s a 2 owner car I just haven’t paid for a carfax yet since I’m still looking around and most cars that are decently priced are out of state but just based on the year and amount of miles I’m thinking I can maybe negotiate it down $1000 since it’s been listed for over 100 days. I’m paying cash and wanting to stay between 9k-14k. I know people here recommend buying from a seller directly but about 90% of the cars I see on fb marketplace are either salvage or rebuilt titles and the ones that aren’t are more than dealers are charging. I’m also wanting to stick with a Lexus just because I do want a somewhat nice car but also reliable.

Best bank for making a large withdrawal?

I’m needing to buy a car since I recently crashed mine and going to be paying for a used car cash since I just went through chapter 7 and got my debts discharged but I’m sure I won’t be approved for financing for a few years and if I do it’s going to be an insane interest rate hence me paying cash. I currently have a discover checking account but since it’s an online bank it’s not going to work with what I need since I’d have to wait a week or so for a check to mailed and I know most private sellers aren’t going to want a check. I live in a city that only has chase, Wells Fargo, and a US bank as actual branch locations. The rest are credit unions and those don’t even have tellers they’re just atms inside the branch’s. I was thinking about chase but have read alot of comments saying that they’re known to close accounts pretty often. Based of the 3 choices available to me which bank would be best to go with? I don’t have the money yet but I should have enough saved by the end of June or early July. I’m just worried if I go with chase and transfer the 7k I have in my discover and then w/d over 10k less than 2 months after the accounts open they might close my account. It’s a hard choice since all 3 of these banks have really bad reviews for all the branch’s in my city.

I’m needing a new car and have been looking at Lexus is 250’s, Infiniti q50’s with the 3.7 not the 3.0 turbo and Genesis g80 sedans. I’m paying cash so I’m trying to stay within the 9-15k range and for that price all the these cars that I’m looking at have around 110-130k miles. My last car was a 2015 Genesis sedan but had the 3.8 and 98k miles before I had a freak accident and it hadn’t given me any issues. From having friends that have is250’s and q50’s I have an understanding they’re pretty reliable as long as the maintenance is kept up with since both my friends with those cars have close to 200k miles and haven’t had any major issues, but how are the 2015 g80’s after 100k miles? I keep reading mixed reviews about them after that mileage and know it really comes down to how the previous owner maintained it but if it’s been properly cared for will the genny’s be able to reach 200k miles? Side note the only reason I’m looking at the 5.0 versions is the 3.8’s I’ve seen are only priced about 1k or so less so why not.

I got my discharge letter last Monday, and I’m just wondering how long does it typically take for the debts not to show on my credit? It still shows a portion of the debt on my Experian which shows $41k and some of my credit card apps still show the balances.

Just making this post to vent about how shit the used car market is at the moment. I crashed my car last week and need another but want a decent used car and no matter what brand I search for everything is crazy overpriced. Unless I modify the search to include salvaged titles or over 140k miles everything is so absurdly priced. Take these Lexus’s for example. Just a few years ago before I bought the car I crashed I was able to find a decent model of 2014 and above is250’s in the 13-18k range with less than 70k miles. This is250 listed is almost 20 years old and they want $16k lol and for reference I put the location as 500 miles from phoenix so it’s including cars from AZ, NV, UT, OR, and CA
