WTS: EAE Prismatic Wall, Alexander Syntax Error 2, Silktone Fuzz+, Fender Princeton Reverb Blue Sparkle (Blackface)

Looking to move a few pedals and an amp that aren't getting enough use. Everything is in excellent condition and works perfectly.

Prices:

  • Electronic Audio Experiments Prismatic Wall$310
  • Alexander Pedals Syntax Error 2$190
  • Silktone Fuzz+$170
  • Fender Princeton Reverb Blue Sparkle (Blackface) w/ Celestion Gold G10$950

Details:

  • Syntax Error 2 includes original box and manual.
  • Prismatic Wall includes original box (manual not included).
  • Silktone Fuzz+ includes original box and manual.
  • Fender Princeton Reverb Blue Sparkle (Blackface) is completely stock with the factory-installed Celestion Gold G10 speaker - no modifications. This has honestly been my favorite amp. It sounds incredible at bedroom volumes and has been equally impressive in live settings. I'm only selling because I've been using my Deluxe Reverb more for gigs and don't really need both. Truly an amazing sounding amp.

Can Anyone ID These?

I’ve been on the hunt for these glasses or something similar. I’m a fan of the big tortoise frame and translucent blue lenses. Anyone know what these are or know of anything close?

This Board Either Sounds Beautiful or Completely Broken

Current state of the board. Finally got everything laid out in a way that feels really cohesive for the kind of stuff I’ve been playing lately. Wiring is a mess but things are swapping too much to make it better.

Signal chain:

Strobostomp Mini > Unpleasant Surprise > ~900 Fuzz > Greer Lightspeed > King of Tone > Longsword > AMpT AFG-1 > Prismatic Wall > Gen Loss MKII > Lossy > AMpT ADG-1 > Microcosm > Golden Reverberator

The gain section is basically built around the Lightspeed as my always-on pedal, then cycling between the KOT for crunch and lead lines and the Longsword for when I need something a bit heavier or more aggressive. Between the two fuzzes there is definitely overlap, but I have the 900 set to what I found I liked. Then the unpleasant surprise is used exactly as its name implies. Broken, crushed, sputtery nonsense.

Going into the AFG-1, I usually keep it on a lighter flange setting. I bounce between the Jet and Swirl toggles depending on the part - swirl mostly just to add a little movement to rhythm sections without getting too over-the-top.

The Prismatic Wall is kind of a placeholder right now for an upcoming ACV-1 NOS. I still really like the pedal, but I haven’t fully figured out how I want to use it or where I prefer it in the chain. For now, it’ll probably come off the board for something more immediately usable for me.

For the two Chase Bliss pedals on the top right, I have the Gen Loss dialed in to a spot I really love right now. I’ll kick it on over drives and fuzzes to add a little more clarity and texture to rhythm playing without it sounding obviously “tape-like.” Definitely recommend trying out using it in that way. I also have a second setting that leans harder into the tape character with a bit of failure mixed in.

The Lossy is mostly there for broken, degraded sounds or this sort of blown-out feedback texture that I’ve been really into lately. I’m definitely planning on adding an expression pedal for it and the ADG-1. Then of course to mention messing with the Gen Loss going into the Lossy. You can get some really great whiny and digital whale noises.

As for the delay section, I absolutely love the ADG-1. It’s just an incredible sounding, straightforward analog delay that’s hard to make sound bad. It can get weird if you want it to, but even at its most basic settings it sounds amazing.

The Microcosm is honestly there for experimentation and inspiration. I love the Seq mode amongst others - still a lot to discover with that one.

Finally, the Golden Reverberator is usually left on a subtle room reverb just to give everything a little size and space. I also keep a spring preset loaded in it. It ended up replacing my CXM 1978 mostly because of the size and the fact that I just didn’t want to drag around that kind of pedal.
