Hey guys! Some footage of my C64 (running since the 90s!) logged on my BBS has which has just turned one year old! To celebrate I've built a straight petscii 3D FPS style maze race game that supports up to 10 player multiplayer: it runs straight in the BBS, so the faster the baud rate the better! 9600 is probably as low as you want to go for a semi-acceptable frame rate in the game haha.

I made this BBS to provide modern practical petscii use via telnet: a one stop C64 portal for community, news, weather, sports, downloads and everything but the kitchen sink! There's now a weekly social hangout for folks to bounce between the live chat room and the 3D maze race! Feel welcome to join in! Set up all my machines for my daughters birthday last year, here is one of them!!

After my Powerplayers (Mindscape) joystick bit the dust, I finally took the plunge and hacked up my all time favourite weapon of choice to use on my C64: The rock solid SegaSaturn control pad. For the first prototype, I took my worst condition one to cannibalise, looks like someone cleaned this one with steel wool, the logo is even gone! Took the cable from the dead Powerplayers stick. One of the things that I really grew tired of over the years was pressing 'up' on a joystick to jump in platformers and stuff like that - so I took the opportunity to also bridge one of the extra buttons with the 'up' direction (and a shoulder button just in case). Man it feels nice! I do have an extra Powerplayers stick in my stash (see background in photo), but after using the Saturn pad, its going to be hard to go back!

You know you've been playing Atari too long when you can tell that the drawers are cartridge sized without needing to measure it. I'd never seen something like this previously. I have too many games for it, as it only takes 24 carts, but there's no way that was getting left at the store!!

Made this a couple of years ago. My Corolla can't paraloop though, but its still a smooth ride :)

Hey Guys! 2 weeks ago, at *just* the right timing when picking up my daughter, happened to have had the car nice and clean, everyone had left the parking lot, totally unplanned photo opportunity, lighting was just right :-)
