emojis on my dashboard, vhelp!

I have a hand me down Corolla which hasn’t been driven regularly in 5 years. I already know I need to get an oil change and my brakes looked at. However there’s a few things I’m stuck on

Left side:
• Exclamation point indicates tire pressure (someone looked at my tires recently, I guess I’ll have them looked at again)
• ABS can’t be manually disabled, so there’s fault in my brakes which I already know about
• TRAC OFF, I need help with this one

Center:
• Maintenance required, obvious
• Car sliding, not sure what this is

Right side:
• Brakes, obvious
• Car sliding again, does this connect to TRAC off or the car sliding symbol in the center?

Can someone let me know if there’s anything else I’m missing here or should take note of 😭🙏🏻

Bumper clip

Does anyone know the part number or something similar that goes into this hole to holds the bumper/wheel liner?

Why buy a used Corolla?

Hello! Need y’all’s opinion;

I’m from a Latin American country looking to import a vehicle from the US and I’m heavily inclined towards an 11th gen Corolla, however I have a few questions:
-Why a Corolla and not something like and older Lexus which in theory is just as reliable and with more comfort?
-Where is the best place to find a reasonably used Corolla for a reasonable price? (Websites)
-what defects should I look for?

Thanks for any info!! I really hope to buy a car soon!

Yet another bumper sag question

I noticed this happening to the bumper on the driver's side today (2022 Se Hatchback). As far as I can tell all the clips in the wheel well are still attached, and it's still like clipped on to the fender (see picture 3). It's just like unseated/misaligned under the driver's side headlamp. Again, I don't see any clips or anything that are obviously broken but it doesn't just pop back in if I push on it.

I was hoping there'd be a quick and dirty YouTube video or something on this, but I can't find anything that isn't either "glue it on permanently" or "replace the whole bumper".

We lost a Corolla due to a drunk driver. Is this a total loss?

2017 Toyota Corolla with less than 50k miles. 😔 3 pictures attached. Is it a total loss?

I was at a red light for 60 seconds when he slammed into the back of me.

Any other 12th gen owners have nothing but problems?

I purchased a brand new 2025 LE last year and have since driven 37,000 miles. I have had nothing but problems with this car. I will list them.

The AC makes an awful squealing noise at idle.

The entire car sometimes reeks of gasoline and runs rough, gets all jumpy until I hit 25 mph.

I pressed a button to lower the back seat and it completely cracked and destroyed itself. Toyota replaced it thankfully.

The CVT gets stuck in its launch gear when going up steep hills (sometimes) so I can only go around 10 mph up hill.

The coolant is always magically disappearing (Toyota tech said they have no idea what’s causing it and will not look into it further).

Very rarely, the car will not fully shut off when I remove the key. It gets stuck in accessory mode until I restart it and turn it back off.

And many more minor problems.

What the hell is this? I take the car to Toyota CONSTANTLY for these problems and almost every time it’s just “we don’t know what’s happening, sorry”. And I would sell this car if the paint wasn’t literally FALLING OFF. Because I won’t get full price for a car with fucked up paint.

Can anyone else relate to these issues??

Did I get played?

Just got a 2024 Toyota Corolla se used from a dealer ship it’s my first car but I’m worried I jumped the gun,
I drives great and feels amazing but it has 95k miles on it and they sold it to me at 19k flat
Did I make a mistake or did should I be fine for 500k miles?!?
Is it still gonna last me a long time?

2014 Corolla with 3 accidents from previous owners

I have the opportunity to purchase a Corolla from a friend. It's been relatively well-maintained as far as I'm aware and only has around 110k on it. It has 3 accidents reported, one from Dec 2019, one from Jan 2021, and one from Feb 2021. I've seen it in-person and the bumper is zip-tied on and the back bumper has a small dent but it drives well and they say it's been a very reliable car and they love it. They are only getting rid of it because their parents are helping them purchase a newer 2020 Santa Fe. They are only asking 2k for it and I really trust them.

I am pretty sure we are going to be purchasing it from them, but I want to know if the accidents would raise insurance costs. I am not sure the extent, Vincheckup just refers to them as accidents.

I currently drive a gas-guzzling 2003 Ford Expedition that was given to me by my grandmother. It costs over $80 to fill the tank from empty, and I'd really like something better on gas mileage, but also cheap to insure. Any help would be appreciated.

2022 Corolla Clutch Slave Cylinder Service Scam

As many of you know the 2022 Corolla with the 6 speed manual transmission is infamous for the clutch slave going out and how much it costs to service from Toyota 52,186 miles and mines gave out after years of highway driving only. Toyota Dealer quoted me 3980$ to replace with part’s included (New upgraded slave cylinder, clutch and cover) which I thought was crazy. So I bought the parts myself From the same dealer (790$) and did the job myself in one day NO you don’t have to drop the Subframe NO you don’t need special Tools aside simple sockets and wrenches and a universal clutch install kit NO I didn’t pull the axles ( i did to make the re-instal easier) NO it doesn’t take 13 hrs of labor (what dealer quoted) and most importantly you can do this with jack stands and two floor jacks (one for the engine, one for tranmission) At most you need a friend to help you once it’s time to pull and re install transmission Crazy how this a know failure point in these cars and toyota rather sell you the upgraded part (300$) and maybe you pay 3k in labor than to just warranty it. Hope this inspires Others to do it themselves, my experience working on cars all on the auto body/Paint side but I knew I wasn’t going to fork up 3k for something many can do at home, here are some pictures to show the work.

Should I Buy This Corolla?

Looking at this 2016 CVT S at a local dealership on Monday, and I wanted some input on the price and the accident reports. It is priced currently at 12k and has about 100k miles on it. 4 previous owners. I am bringing my uncle in-law to look at it with me and see if there’s any hidden damage.

Is this potentially a good buy? If so, what would be a good offer?

Weeping coolant from throttle body

So I just discovered on my 21 Corolla a little bit of weeping of coolant where the tubing goes inside the throttle body I don’t know if I should be worried about it that much, my coolant level doesn’t seem to drop

How likely is it that my 2021 Corolla is totaled?

Collision happened at roughly 30-40mph. All airbags deployed.
