When the car is on/running/'Ready' and you get out and close the door, the car beeps 8 times - very loudly. If you open and close any other door when there's no one in the driver's seat the car also beeps 8 times. I would like to turn that off.
I've looked through the manual and the list of customizable options in the back and I can't find any reference to this. Does anyone had a lead on what this function is even called? There is something about trying to lock the car while it's on, but I don't thinks that's it.
This is what the tire place found that caused the flat.
I think it should be a crime to not supply spare tires with new cars. Yesterday was the second time I had a puncture since I bought this car in February. Because my car didn't have one, I spent $130 for a rim and full size tire, after I bought it. Since I had a spare, I was back on the road in 25 minutes!
If I didn’t have that spare, it would have been a two-day long waste of time. First, I’d have to hope I had cell service where I was. Then I’d have to wait for up to several hours for a flat bed to find me. And then where would they take me? To a tire repair store that’s closed for the night? Now what? I live 65 miles away, so that would be a really expensive uber! Get a friend to come get me and then have to take me back the next day? Or sleep in the car? Or maybe waste money on a hotel room? How is this the better option than just fixing it myself and getting on with my life?
I simply don’t understand the mindset of people today that don't want a spare and thus choose to make themselves completely helpless and waste their time.
Note, I'm not talking about people that can't physically change their tires. And that population is a relatively low portion of all car drivers, so that should not be a deciding factor in whether cars even have spare tires!

Anyone else having problems with these guys? My dad lives in Bristol and his wife is from Germany. Her family calls a couple times a week.
A couple months ago, incoming calls started having problems getting through. Either the phone would not ring at all, or it would ring and there was no connection, or it would ring and it would be just noise. CVT came out and did a line check but it wasn't local. Then they said it was the vendor that was routing incoming international calls into their system.
Now, CVT is refusing to help and ignoring their requests to fix the problem, claiming they are a small company and don't feel like they should spend their resources to look into why this is happening. It appears to be only CVT, her friend in Shoreham on their little company also has no problems getting international calls.
Anyone else having customer service issues with CVT? Any other CVT customers getting incoming international calls without a problem?
Let's do some math.
Assumptions: I've bought a new car at the same price as a gas burner and I'm not concerned about faster depreciation as I intend to own this car for at least 6 years/125,000 miles; and I can charge L2 at home and work at 20¢/kWh.
Let's talk mileage with a real-world example in Vermont, USA, using a round-trip drive of 160 miles, 2/3 of that being interstate speeds (75mph): In the winter, with Life Support sucking down battery juice to keep the driver warm and the windows clear of frost, the bZ says I'm getting 2.5 miles/kWh on the highway, while in spring with no Life Support on at all (no AC yet) I'm getting 3.8.
160 miles at 2.5 miles per kWh is 64 kWh. At 20¢ each, that round-trip drive in winter costs me $12.80. In summer, 160 / 3.8 = 42.1 * 0.2 = $8.42.
My last gas burner got 30mpg in all weather on that same route: 160 / 30 = 5.333 gallons. 5.333 *$3/gal = $16; *$3.5/gal = $18.666; *$4/gal = $21.333; *$4.5/gal = $24
Result: Even when gas was $3/gallon, my EV cost less in the winter when it got 'bad' mileage.
Isn't Bad Batch the story of helping a tween girl become a child soldier; a killer with no conscience for the dozens of being she's caused to be killed? Prove me wrong!
