Is this the best 27" 4k Mini-LED Monitor I can get? (IODATA EX-GDU271JLAQD)

This is from a Japanese brand from IODATA and I can get it shipped from amazon japan to the USA.

Just wanted to confirm because I can't find another monitor like this that you normally could get in the US that has:

  • 2304 dimming zones (less bloom which is the big problem for mini led in the dark)
  • Display HDR 1400

I checked:

  • KTC M27P6
    • It says Display HDR 1400, but I don't see it on the vesa website?
    • 1,152 dimming zones
  • Acer XV275K
    • Display HDR 1000
    • 1,152 dimming zones

I'm open to other recommendations and I know it's probably going to be more expensive because of shipping costs, but would still be willing to get it honestly since i can't find a monitor in the US with 2304 dimming zones and Display HDR 1400.

Small Update:

  • In total it'll cost 676 dollars with standard shipping to California at least for the IODATA Monitor, but looks like its still cheaper than my other options I've seen in the comments so far lol.

To my none basement dweller homies using QD OLED Monitors, what kind of backlights do use for your pc setups?

I need some sort of light source while still keeping it dim enough for my monitor, give me your recommendations. I already got some curtains to make my room go pitch black, but not too sure how to go about light besides putting it directly behind my monitors/pc setup.

Which do I go with? GIGABYTE MO27Q28GR (27" 1440p 280hz Tandem WOLED) or MSI MAG 272UP X24 (27" 4k 240 hz QD-OLED)

Here's some specs of my computer:

  • i7 12700k
  • RX 9070 XT
  • 32gb DDR4 RAM

NOTE: I am not upgrading my computer for a very long time because pc part market is expensive af.

For some background, I will be doing like a 70% (Movie, Videos, Web Browsing) / 30% (Non Competitive Gaming - Pal World, Cyberpunk, Black Myth Wukong, Elden Ring).

Struggling to choose between these 2 monitors because the Gigabyte Monitor (Glossy) is on sale for 423 USD (It's a steal atm) and I think my GPU can handle 1440P can handle it pretty well. (I don't think I'll be hitting 280 fps on most games and this is just an upper limit) I have watched and seen many review and found that is basically best valued monitor I can get.

Then, I heard about 4k 27 inch monitors specifically having great ppi like near retina level and better text clarity. I found this monitor for about 650ish USD. I think my GPU can somewhat handle 4k gaming with FSR Enabled. I will also be mostly watching a lot movies, videos, shows, and browsing so I thought this mattered. I also saw that its using display port 1.4 and thought that it can only do 4k 120 hz and not sure how this will effect me.

I can control lighting in my room pretty well can fit the needs of either monitor.

I am open to other monitor recommendations as well (~750 USD) or possibly waiting for future 27 inch 4k glossy monitor if you think this is the better play.

Side Question: I can't tell if MAG 272UP X24 is glossy (want this one) or matte like the 3 websites are giving me mixed responses MSI (Glare? Does that mean glossy?), Amazon (Glossy), Newegg (Anti Reflect? Does that mean Matte)

This deal is too good to pass up right? LG 27GX700A-B (Tandem OLED) for 360 USD

This is the LG 27GX700A-B and after an additional 10% discount the price comes down to 360 USD Dollars from the LG Website.

It's a 4th Gen Tandem OLED Matte Monitor and for 360 this is such a steal right?

I don't have much of an opinion with Matte and I'm using Linux so I'm not affected by the LG Adware and can just uninstall it anyways if I'm Windows.

Prior to this, I was thinking about the Gigabyte Tandem WOLED MO27Q28GR, but thats 500 USD just for glossy and didn't think 140 dollar difference wasn't worth it for me. Do you guys think it's worth buying or just to try it out at least? I heard LG Customer Support was Garbo, but this is just so tempting.

Need Monitor Suggestion for OLED and Ok Secondary Monitor for stacked layout

Looking for suggestions for monitors for a stacked layout similar to the pic where I'm planning the top monitor to be an OLED monitor and bottom monitor to be like an "ok" one or vice versa:

OLED Monitor:

  • OLED Type: Can be QD-OLED, W-OLED, Tandem WOLED (I can adjust lights to fit monitor needs)
  • Finish: I'm ok with either Matte/Glossy
  • Hz: Honestly as long as it's at least 144 hz its ok with me
  • Size: 27 - 32in
  • Resolution: 1440p
  • Need to be able to mount on monitor arms (I think its called VESA Mountable)
  • Honestly looking for a good bang for buck value that I can mount on a monitor arm

OK Monitor:

  • Same size as the OLED Monitor
  • small bezzles
  • Need to be able to mount on monitor arms
  • I'm generally using this to just watch youtube or look at websites on the side
  • Can be 60hz to be honest and 1440p would be nice but not needed

Suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Budget is like 550~ USD for the OLED Monitor

Need suggestions going from Mid Tower Build to Small Build

Hi Reddit,

I'd like to transfer the following parts from my mid tower build to a small build:

  • 2x Corsair 16gb DDR4 Ram
  • RX 9070 XT Sapphire
  • 3x Samsung 1 TB M.2 NVME SSDs
  • 4x SATA SSDs

Need suggestions on the smallest cases I can fit my thicc gpu in, power supply, motherboard, and anything else I may need to make this transition. Side note, I don't really care about rgbs, or seeing my computer parts I just want something small and somewhat portable. Any help/suggestions is really appreciated, thank you!

What has more future proof value, Phrolova S3 or Chisa?

I'm worried that Phrolova and Chisa won't be rerunning again and can't play enough to farm both before the end of this patch.

What's the play here? I'm going for future proof value and figured that if I had S3R1 Phrolova I would be set for one side of Whiwa and at least one of the side towers in ToA for maybe another 1/2 years, but also feel like Chisa is essential for negative status carries in case I want to run it in the future and won't get the chance again similar to the shorekeeper situation.

Side note, I know some may suggest Denia, but I can just get her next rerun since she's new.

This is prob a bit early since she literally just came out, but I remembered that some parts of her kit mentioned "pulling" and wanted to know how good would she be in whimpering wastes? Is she like in between Augusta and Phrolova Tier?
