I went to a kids party yesterday and I couldn't get 2 seconds to see what brand was on the hands of any of the adults. Being a watch enthusiast myself, I didn't care to peep into another person's wrist or anything. I noticed colors and designs but brand? Just didn't even get close enough to see anything. Do people actually care what's on another person's wrist when out and about?

I have two young kids under 5 and I'm a stay at home mom. I love them to absolute bits and I spend time with them every second of the day they're home with me. I currently live with my parents and I have a very supportive husband as well although he gets home late he makes sure to shower the kids and or make their morning breakfast or schools snack on some days though 4/5 days it's me that makes it. My issue is I am not a good cook. I can make a decent rice and curry but when it comes whipping something special up for my kids it's just not my thing. The thought of cooking puts me off so much because I'm worried it won't come out right or something.

I do make simple pancakes and French toasts and stuff like that but I wish I was enthusiastic about meal prep. I do like to learn and look up recipes for them as they're very fussy eaters. My mother and mother in law are good with food and they make fun stuff for them and I sometimes ask for the recipes but don't always make them because if I do it just doesn't come out the same or something sets me off. I keep thinking my kids deserve better from me.

I play for hours with them, manage their emotions, deal with tantrums, wash them, change, do pick ups drop offs, basically my whole day revolves around them. It's the meal prep aspect of their life (which I know is a significant part) really bothers me. Does this make me a bad mother or is anyone else going through this? I really do want to make an effort to change that
