I cannot for the life of me find a free website or app to make a fantasy map that I like. The few that I have found have very limited free aspects so you can't really do anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! I'm looking to do a world map and a map for each kingdom in my world.

What happened to you

Where did you go

The light in your eyes went out like a dead light bulb

Sure there were flickers

Little warnings telling me to prepare for the change

But I ignored it

Blinked at the same time

Chalked it up to a malfunction

I was just being dramatic

Feeling too much

But the flickers grew longer

The darkness lasted longer

For then I would stand in darkness waiting

Waiting for the old light bulb I knew to come back

Shiny, bright, and new

Now dusty, dark, and old

I grew frustrated of stumbling in the dark waiting

I grew frustrated of wondering if I caused it to dim and die

Because it must be my fault right?

I used it too much

Or maybe too little

Either way I cause it to die

That's what I told myself

And maybe if I tried harder the light would come back

I used it more

Then gave it a break

It stayed the same.

Nothing I did would make it change

So I gave up

Maybe it's not my fault

Maybe it dimed and died on its own

Or maybe someone else caused it to

I'll never know

But sometimes I wonder if maybe someday

That light bulb will light up again just like I knew it once to do

And it will shine just as bright if not brighter

And a piece of my home that I'd gotten so used to would be whole again

Just like old times

And I wouldn't have to look at the darkness and wonder

If it really was me?

Or others?

Or itself?

I'll never truly know

But the thought of maybe someday

Everything would be like before

When it was bright and happy

Could happen

Gives me hope

Maybe it really could

Or maybe it is truly too far gone.
