Duplexes and Rowhouses?

Hi, everyone!

I made a post a while back asking about apartment complexes and I can't thank you all enough for how helpful you were. I know this sub gets inundated with questions about moving into the area. I hope it's alright that I tack another one on there.

My household and I are looking to move to Covington. We currently live in a duplex, having taken over both halves (very close friendgroup). We're hoping to recreate, if possible, our current living situation the best we can after the relocation. Either a duplex with both halves open to rent out, or rowhouses.

Essentially: two apartments very, very close to each other. In the same building, or on the same street. We want to stay withing walking distance to each other.

I guess the question is: where do we look for something like that? Any landlords or real estate companies I should know of, or be weary over? Which neighborhoods would we have the best luck looking for something like this?

Thank you all again! We know we won't be able to find exactly what we want, that's the whole point of moving to a new place. But we thought we'd ask to figure out the best direction before we start walking!

What were/are your best, and worst, vocabulary practice methods?

What made it work for you? What didn't work? Is it something you figured out on your own or was it something a teacher helped you figure out?

Martana Flats and Crown Pointe?

My household (~4 people, all adults) are considering moving into Covington sometime in the future. We're trying to get a read on housing opportunities there.

Ideally, we're looking for a duplex unit where we might rent out both sides. But, not knowing much about the current market, we are pretty open to all possibilities. We'd just like to continue living, if not in the same building, very close to each other.

Some of the other apartment complexes I saw were way too out of our budgets ($2,000+/month), but Martana Flats and Crown Pointe were both on the lower end in terms of cost.

Are there any past or current residents of these complexes that might have some insight into what those properties are like?

I've had some... really awful landlords in the past. So, I can't bring myself to believe any of the listings as-wrote.

Thanks you all!

Desperate Fabric Search!

Please correct me if this is the wrong flair!

This is sort of an intersection project between sewing, quilting, and... I really hope embroidery doesn't have to be involved, but that depends on if this turns up anything.

I'm planning on making a bedding set for a good friend of mine. Biggest item is a black comforter with white embroidered stars. The idea being something like what I've attached. Or, say, the Night Sky bedding set from a store like Sin In Linen (except, not a printed design and much more plush). Simple, but a little time consuming.

I thought I'd be able to find some yards of machine embroidered star fabric, but I've had no luck! Most of the options I've found are denim or very sheer, very non-blanket-like material. I've almost accepted the fate of making a comforter and doing the stars by hand.

I've got the actual sewing part down. I'm just a complete beginner at finding fabric online, and would greatly appreciate some advice!

Thank you all!
