KTM Revelator Alto Pro, any thoughts?

I'm mainly a gravel and mtb guy, but some times i come up to places where i would love the lightness of a carbon roadbike on asphalt, and am thinking about adding one to my collection.

since this would probably be the bike i put the least kilometres on, i'm looking for a simpler entry level one.

my local dealer who i trust and have other bikes from is mainly a KTM dealership and has the Revelator Alto Pro in their line-up.

Spec wise it would fit what i want and the geo felt good when testriding. Simple Shimano 105 all around, full carbon, no bells and whistles and the price looks really solid when comparing the competition in the price segment(cube attain c62, rose, van rysel, canyon...)

Is there anything on the market that i should be aware of and haven't seen, or is there anything about KTM Roadbikes i might not know and should?

Thanks for your help

Sunday riding

currently in the process of moving to a new place that is just one town over. My tools and some furniture to build are already there, so we took the bikes for the way over(about 8km).

having them side by side really goes to show how massive modern mtb geos are. Both are size M frames.

I'm an average size guy with proportionally short legs, while my wife is above average in height with proportionally long legs, so we come out at about the same frame-size, but she goes for setups with less effective reach due to shorter arms

What's your load-hauling setup?

Today i borrowed my wife's bike to do the groceries, because having that CX motor is just nicer when having heavy loads on the bike, and the bike itself has a higher max capacity.

Both our bikes have racks and sets of panniers, plus a framebag and trunkbag that can go on any of them. And we have a Croozer Trailer(no pic right now) for when there's stuff that won't fit panniers.

Got me thinking: what do all of you do for moving stuff around?

pic isn't from an e-bike tour, just a placeholder from a day out on trail.

I'm a rather sporty rider and usually use my bike as a low-assist range extender rather than going into the high assist levels.

i also like the challenge of climbing and if i need help up a hill ,i pedal at enough watts and cadence to max out my motor(Bosch SX) even on lower assist multipliers. So i never really found a home for the maxed out E-mtb+ mode on my bike.

I finally found what it really can do for me: positively racing trails where i have an idea about the line to take.

When you chain together pedaling and the almost comically long and aggro overrun(extended boost) in that mode, you can really flow through a trail at the max assisted speed withput dropping anywhere.

pedal->feather pedal into ready position, engaging overrun->clear obstacles at max speed, avoiding pedalstrike->back to pedalstrike without dropping any speed

that's serious fun. Obviously not the best idea when still exploring a trail you don't know.

so what's your use for the max assist levels?
