Left side dragon ledge?

When you're in the hub and you keep walking left past the mother, past the door that you had to unlock with the flames, past whatever else is in that room besides a couple costume colors, And you punch the wall: It unlocks another area I found. Some kind of floating ledge with dragons flying in the background. So far I have found zero use for this. Is it anything?

10 tips you might already know! Plus one bonus tip that will blow your mind!

I made a list of things I've found that don't really get brought up. Hopefully this helps new and old players alike.

  1. Time Management

Active Time: Time continues to pass while you are in a Shop Menu or accessing your Base Camp Chest.

Paused Time: Time stops (world-state freezes) when you are in your Inventory, Mission Dispatch, or general Main Menus.

  1. The Greymane Quests

Don’t ignore the Greymane quests in your journal. While marked as optional, they are the primary way to unlock essential gameplay elements, including higher-tier trade licenses and camp upgrades.

  1. Kuku Cooler Inventory Hack

If you build multiple Kuku Coolers for your house, they share a linked inventory. This effectively expands your total storage space, and you only need to interact with one cooler to access everything inside.

Note: This does not work for the crafting material storage box.

  1. Loading Screen Skip

If you find Kliff’s loading animation (the long walk) tedious, try saving your game as a different character. When you reload that save, it skips the standard "walking load" sequence.

  1. When cooking food you can change the level of food you can craft which results in better healing. Unfortunately, the material cost is disproportionate at the higher levels making your choice to craft six +300 HP version or one +600 HP version. The food gourmet gear is a great way to be able to spam low tier food effectively. You can have up to 5 gourmet foods.

  2. Unlocking Follower Skills

If your camp followers are stuck with only two skills, stop grinding and progress the main story. Their third and fourth skill slots are hard-locked behind specific story chapters.

  1. Gear Recipe Sources

The Witch’s shops only sell 12 gear recipes (the basic main stats). To find the rest of the recipes, you must send followers on Exploration Missions (marked with the Circle Icon on the map). The areas you need to send them to are “Reachwood Ruins” “Kingshield Digsite” “Serpent Shrine” “Bordig Ruins” “Timeworn Ruins” “Verheim Ruins”. When the mission is complete check your base camp chest for a new recipe. The chances of receiving one are fairly low so I advise you save the game right before the mission ends and reload until you get one.

  1. Local vs. Universal Stats (CRITICAL)

This is the most misunderstood mechanic in the game.

LOCAL Stats: Attack and Critical Rate and on weapons/off-hands only apply to that specific item. If your dagger has +5 Crit, it does not give your sword +5 Crit. Dual-wielding does not share these stats between hands. Edit: Attack speed "is" universal.

UNIVERSAL Stats: Stats from Rings, Necklaces, and Earrings apply to everything Kliff does.

  1. Calculating Your Real Caps

The hard cap for Critical Rate and Attack Speed is 15.

Unsheath your weapon And then go into your inventory and look at your gear status to see your stats. When duel wielding, it Will tell you your individual crit rate per weapon. Edit: thank you u/burnaftergreeting for this one

  1. The Percent (%) Gear Trap

Avoid percent-based gear (like "6% increased swim speed"). These bonuses apply to your base speed, which is already very low.

Example: 30% increased swim speed (five Level 3 gems + Tide Breaker boots) barely makes a noticeable difference. It turns you from a slow swimmer into a slow swimmer that took a free swimming class at the YMCA. Always prioritize flat increases or stamina reduction over percentages for movement.

BONUS: PS5 Hidden Controls

The Touchpad (center white pad) has three specific functions:

Tap: Toggle Zoom.

Hold: Instantly open the Map.

In Inventory: Press it to see a detailed breakdown of your current stats.

To all the content creators, I've got a whole book of these if you wanna hire me 😂
