Inquiring: Reddits’ Alternate Realms • The ‘sha Edition

TLDR: (#1 & #2) ⬇️

1- how doesn’t Waukesha have a “gone wild” OR “nsfw” subreddit?! I’m new to Wisconsin and Waukesha as of roughly 1.5 years ago. But this seems like a place that would have one🤣

2- almost an unfathomable reality I’ve concluded- Waukesha has more brothels/happy ending massage parlors than they do spicy subreddits currently.

——————————————————

There seems to be a billion &a half Wisconsin alternative subreddits (specifically, nsfw subreddits) for more densely populated regions...
…Not only does that intrigue me, but equally baffles me that there isn’t such a subreddit pertaining to Waukesha.
( unless I just haven’t found it yet… in which case- I’m hoping this post will fix that possibility rather quickly. )

Otherwise, if assuming there just somehow isn’t a “Waukesha Gone Wild” subreddit…. How? Why? WAT. lol it’s relatively big in size & plenty of horny/sexually open minded people in this county… you’d think we’d have something to entertain each other with.

The TWIST •••

For anyone still reading- it’s about to pay off…. There were two conclusions that I came to and immediately thought… “this would be perfect to post and inquire about through a Waukesha nsfw subreddit.”

1.) the concept of finding some fun, single individuals in the area would simply just be ideal forms of entertainment sometimes (go figure). Especially being new here and not knowing many folks.

…andddd….

2.) my coworker just told me Friday ‘he’s been going to multiple different happy ending massage places in Waukesha (SUPPOSEDLY- specifically in DT Waukesha).’

• This blew my mind once he convinced me to take him seriously.
• I didn’t know that type of thing happened in the Midwest, more less Wisconsin, MORE LESS WAUKESHA.
• I always thought that was more of a fictional, fairytale, Hollywood scripted narrative.

But he swears. He said he’s probably gotten over 50 happy endings in the last half decade between the multiple in the area… this immediately felt like too much a burden and weight of drama/gossip to carry myself.

I don’t even use Reddit and instantly just wanted locals who could/would engage anonymously in convo online regarding this concept. I’m still slightly unsure how much I trust my coworker but at the same time he seems way to detailed and serious to be pulling my chain. I’m mind blown and intrigued at the same time 😅🤯💥

LAST THING —> Bombshell:

• he said he would buy a hidden camera or something from Amazon and record it to prove it to me lol he said he’s gonna buy like a smoke detector style hidden camera thing & mount it on the ceiling where ‘they’d never notice.’ … Sketchy!… BUT makes me even more just mind blown…. And even more intrigued 🤨🧐🤔 🍆🍒✊🏼💦😼

P.s.- apologies for the lengthy post. Hopefully was entertaining enough to be worth the read.

State of MKE: Harsh Reality, Concerns, Comparisons, Criticism and Questions

As a born and raised Wisconsinite that lived in the twin cities for almost a decade I have an opinion that may be equal parts interesting to hear as well as almost offensive or quick to shout “bias in judgment!” Rather than offer insight or simply conceptualize my points and comparisons that have been framed by personal experience and relevant standards.

I love Wisconsin and although enjoyed Minneapolis, broadly have no emotional ties to the state. This is generally unbiased so rather than take it as offensive please consider that.

•MY perspective & maybe overly harsh critique of Wisconsin because my emotional attachment is strong while my pride is below desired and frankly acceptable (as a member and resident)•

Seeing these beautiful photos of Milwaukee always makes me think, “damn these Milwaukee photographers really do a great job of capturing Milwaukee in a way that somehow presents it has a beautiful place. But honestly, driving through/around Milwaukee (and many times, similar to the areas I see impressive photography of) - there is no part of my perspective that I could describe as anything OTHER THAN “dirty, cluttered and not well kept or cared for.”
As for my time in Minneapolis, I was genuinely experiencing the OPPOSITE perspective. It’s so welcoming, lively, full of art and culture, the structural consistency and condition of most areas are modern and clean.

Now granted, there are definitely small pockets you’d avoid driving through that resemble Milwaukee’s north side. But you’d have to actively seek out those areas to see them and have that experience.

I would be in such bliss on my long runs through Minneapolis. The bridges, river people, the constant state of social and community events going on. It just felt like a place you want to live and are generally proud of. I can’t imagine anyone from Milwaukee feeling the same way or explaining Milwaukee in a similar manner without lying to themselves.

——

Again, this is a random perspective I am offering. Not meant to be a direct opportunity I see to shit on my home state. And definitely not an opportunity to brag about Minneapolis just being “SOOO much better than Milwaukee.” Because I fall under the category of “fuck Minneapolis, fuck Minnesota and most definitely fuck the Vikings” lol

Last comment and most interesting point! (I’d love for other’s interpretation or explanation to this specific part!!!) :
- the facts of what I just said would have to lead a person to think the taxes play a part in this experience holding any sensible truth. Whether they have higher taxes and more people, so better resources to provide OR they allocate their taxes in a different capacity.
Where my confusion here lies, and where I would LOVE insight here is- as it’s being investigated and exposed in Minneapolis- the undeniable reality is that a lot of their tax payer dollars are being “misused” to word it nicely. And they’re STILL able to fund such a better product within a city.
-what does this mean about Milwaukee them? Our taxes aren’t significantly lower, our population isn’t significantly smaller. How are we being provided such a lesser product for our tax dollars? Does this lead anyone else to believe either our city officials are not doing their job well? And outside of the clear and obvious answer being theres general incompetence all over our city and within the confinements of our local government…. Does this lead you to believe there has to be some sort of blatant corruption and mis-use of funds?

My only satisfying rebuttal and can offer myself is the crime we deal with being so close to Chicago has to play some real role here. That does impact us. But doesn’t justify my overall point of concern. The presence of large corporations that contribute to the cities budget through funding as well as taxes may favor Minneapolis as well. But again, on such a small scale when considering the context.

I know this is controversial and maybe upsetting for some to read. But I promise this comes from a place of genuine love for our state, concern for actual physically observable state of Milwaukee and the unfairness and confusion I feel in having to accept this is the best we can offer. When I’ve had the experience and opportunity to see and experience what it can be like living in another states most metropolitan area.

I did not elaborate on the unlimited number of things I could detail and emphasize about Milwaukee that I LOVE and am grateful for. And that wasn’t to imply it’s a shithole and has nothing to offer besides crime, pot holes and shitty streets, dirtiness, etc. but we all know that is the reality. And my relevant point of emphasis within this post. Thank you all in advance for offering any opinions, insight, knowledge, concerns, etc that will give me a broader perspective and understanding!

Wisconsin represent baby!!!
