Are the tours from Naples worth it?

Hello everyone, it’s my first time visiting the Amalfi coast in August and I’m super excited! We are staying in Naples for 3 or so days and hoping to do a day trip down to the Amalfi Coast (Positano and any other significant places). I’ve done some pretty extensive research on the options to make it happen. I know that private transfer is often recommended as is the ferry.

My question is has anybody taken the 8+ hour tours that depart from Naples (looking at getyourguide specifically right now)? If so, are they worth it? Also, what crowds are they targeted towards. I’ll be travelling with my gf (we’re both 22yo) so hoping for something that is fun with a good crowd.

Open to any advice, opinions or ideas about what I’m asking. Should I book a tour or do it our own way with ferry etc?

Thank you ☺️

Hello!!

On the Thursday just passed I had to go to the emergency department as I had severe chest pains which subsequently caused radiating pain up my arm and neck (it felt like a heart attack, but apparently wasn’t). In the following days I’ve had to limit myself with my movements and spend a lot of time resting.

I have submitted an extension request for an assignment and have submitted a medical cert obtained by an online Telehealth service as well as my discharge summary from the hospital.

Has anybody had a similar experience? Is my extension likely to get approved? I know they have rules around online medical certs but I haven’t been able to get to the GP and I’m hoping that the cert combined with the discharge summary is enough documentation.

Thank you!
