UCG Ultra Wan port issue

Hi,

Installed a UCG Ultra with a customer a few months ago, all has been fine until about a week ago when I started getting notified about dropped WAN connections. This has steadily got worse, to the point where I was going to visit tomorrow to check things out but when it started happening every few minutes, I managed to talk the customer switching some cables around over the phone to appease the teens in the house.

ISP uses own router, which I can't access to see if it's their issue, and customer has two ISP connections into the property (temporarily).

ISP1 into Wan port 5, connection dropped every few minutes.

ISP2 into Wan port 5, connection dropped every few minutes.

Assigned port 4 to be Wan 2, customer moved cable from port 5 to 4 and it's been up no issues for the past hour.

I mean, it sounds like a faulty Wan port (port 5) on the UCG right?

Visiting site tomorrow, what would you check?

I have a spare UCG Ultra to swap out if needs be, so I can RMA the original one.

Thanks for reading.

Tilt adjustment - turret camera

**UPDATE**

Tapped it out of the sleeve with a rubber mallet after getting as far as I could in disassembly.

Thanks for everyone’s help.

**

I only wanted to move this up a few mm, but it wouldn’t budge, so it took it all down assuming there was a locking screw or something.

Nothing obvious there. So managed to push it back to being straight (the opposite of what I wanted to do) to see if it should move, and it did.

Sadly now, I CANNOT shift it at all from this position. My next adjustment tool will likely be a hammer tbh as I’ve spent far too long fighting this thing 😄

Am I doing something wrong?!

The liquid in the picture is a splash of WD40 to try and help move it. Hasn’t worked.

Model is DS-2CD2345FWD

Just hopped into my Passwords App and found this as the most recent entry in the Passkeys section.

This is not my email address, I have no recollection of ever typing this email, I would even go as far as to say, this is in my Passkeys section erroneously.

Has this even happened to anyone before? Did I miss a memo? Is this some dummy data other people have?

I blocked the email address slightly as I presume it does belong to someone, just not me.

Hi all.

Dealing with a client who uses powerline adaptors throughout the house to reduce their 500Mbps fibre down to 70 for 'reasons'.

He's asked for Internet access into an outbuilding, so have (reluctantly as I have zero experience of them) suggested he use a TP-Link EAP211.

Been to his place today, tested it with a wired connection from the receiving node to my laptop and the speed checks out at around 70Mbps - which was quite impressive for the cost tbh.

Anyway, looking for a cheap solution I can put in his outbuilding to connect into the Lan port to kick out some kind of wi-fi signal for him. Anything you'd recommend? Doesn't have to be fast, obvs.

Cheers.

Hi,

I use a SNZB-02LD on a hot tub. Main unit is stuck to the outside, probe is dropped into the water.

Works pretty well, very happy with it.

First unit lasted 3 months left outside throughout January/February, but when the weather warmed up slightly, the inside of the screen developed condensation. Figured the IP rating had failed.

Warranty replacement issued by Amazon, decided not to leave the unit outside at all and brought it in to the house when not in use overnight, except one night, we forgot. And that was enough to fill the inside with condensation again!

Picture attached. We’re not talking about tiny amounts here, I’m actually surprised it’s even still working considering how much liquid is in there.

Just unlucky? Looking to replace again and needed some clarity.

Emailed support at Sonoff a few days ago, no reply.

Thangs for reading.
