Sky blocking BT Number change

Need some advice from anyone who knows Openreach systems, because I feel like I'm losing my mind here.

We’ve had upload speeds under 1 Mbps on our business line for six months. Sky basically admitted on the phone they couldn’t upgrade us without cutting off our main phone line for two weeks. The advisor told me to just switch to another provider and said they would waive any exit fees. They also refuse to put anything in an email and just keep ringing my mobile.

So I ordered BT Business and asked to keep our landline number. The number transfer failed straight away because Openreach still has our old postcode on file. When we joined Sky from TalkTalk at our old place, Sky never updated our address with Openreach, so our business number is still tied to the old address on the system.

BT told me that Sky has to submit an ORDI request to Openreach to fix the address on the line before the port will work.

I rang Sky, and they told me they can't do an ORDI and that BT has to do it. BT says that is impossible because they do not own the line yet.

To make it worse, BT just re placed the order today without telling me, and the number transfer instantly got cancelled again because the address is still wrong. The BT live chat agent basically just shrugged, said "go talk to Sky", and closed the chat.

Am I right that only Sky can fix the address on their own active line through an ORDI? How on earth do I get Sky to actually submit it when their frontline staff insist they can't?

HGE and medication error!

Yesterday my dog had diarrhoea followed by a pool of blood. I panicked, phoned my vets at 3:30 and got an appointment for 4:45.

At 4:40 as we parked up they phoned to cancel.

They said they had three emergencies come in - I went up anyway because I was not happy, and i was already outside.

It turns out one of their emergencies was a dog that wasn't even there yet, wasn't registered with the practice, for a grass seed in its ear (while my dog was outside in the car after passing a pool of blood)

They said they could give him another appt at 5:45 but couldn't guarantee he'd actually be seen in case the emergencies ran over?? I asked for a bowl of water and waited 10 minutes for it...

We went home deciding they didn't think he was an emergency, started cooking him some rice and at 5:25 they called back to say to come straight in because they had finally looked at the pictures and realised they needed to see him.

When we got there, they were not much help at all. The nurse checked him over, and then the vet came in. The vet kept calling my male dog a 'she' until corrected, and asked if I was going to my regular vets on Monday for bloods - they are my regular vets!! They obviously hadn't even bothered to open his records...

I asked if it looks like Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis (HGE) they said yes and implied that he wasn't dying. They told me to put him on a hypoallergenic diet. I showed them his current food (different dog) and the ingredients, but they just told me to buy some hypoallergenic food from downstairs. When I got home and checked his regular food I realised he is already on a hypoallergenic diet anyway.

He has to go back tomorrow for bloods.

The absolute worst part is the medication they sent us home with, which was Gabapentin and Paracetamol. They have put the prescription labels on the wrong meds. The Paracetamol label was on the Gabapentin box and vice versa.

Both boxes had been signed off as "checked" by the staff. If I hadn't been sensible enough to notice the mistake myself, I would have given my dog a double dose of paracetamol!!

I am absolutely furious about the lack of care and how dangerous that mistake was. I am taking him back for his blood tests tomorrow and will call them out on it!

Has anyone else experienced a dispensing error this serious at a UK vet? How did you handle the complaint?
