Models: Azrael, Apothecary, 10 Sternguard Veterans.
I didn’t have access to the upgrade sprue or any cool 3d printed parts at the time I was building these. But I’m pretty satisfied with the finished scheme. I still need to add some decals and do some base-work however.
I started playing Warhammer when I was 13, then transitioned to 40k shortly after and never went back. After some financial hardship in my 20’s, I took about a 15 year break from the hobby, I simply couldn’t afford to keep playing and had to sell my entire collection.
Things are different now. I got back into the hobby about a year ago and I’ve been burning the midnight oil to get my army painted up. A good friend of mine gifted me the Lion; and I was to say at the least, intimidated to put paint on it. I put it off until it was the last model in the army left to paint, and now that he’s finished, I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
Here he is, as it stands, the final piece; ready to lead my Dark Angels successors in their fight against the ultimate foe.
