These news hurt so much even though I knew they would be coming :(

I got Snowflake❄️ when he was 5months old , he is about 1yr 10months old now.He was really cheap because the breeder didnt get him used to sitting on a palm and said if its not done early on its likely impossible. So I have had a rough couple of first weeks with my little dude.Fast forward we made a really good connection in his own grumpy way.He would always fall asleep on me .He was 615-635gramms most of his life which definitely puts him on the chonky side of hedheghogs.10days ago he stopped eating completely even his favourite mealworms.I was finally able to find a vet in the area and we found out he has a lump under his throat which prevented him from eating properly. The vet wasnt sure if it was a lump or just some kind of inflammation so I have been feeding him vitamins, medicine mixed with water for the past 10days.His appetite hasnt changed though and he went down all the way to 575gramms which means he lost roughly 10% of his body weight so quickly.I am waiting at the vet currently and the vet said there is one more medicine that we can try along with a steroid injection but if it doesnt help we shouldnt just watch him die from starvation in the upcoming weeks.and damn when she said I just felt my heart beat ,I am just tearing up so hard rn, its just say way too soon for Snowflake to leave :( deep down I knew the vet would say something like this but still.
