Q: Is the ROG XREAL R1 compatible with XREAL Eye?
>Yes, the ROG XREAL R1 is compatible with XREAL Eye.
When connected with XREAL Eye, it supports Native 6DoF functionality as well as first-person photo and video capture.
Q: Can the dock be purchased as a standalone product for use with XREAL One Pro glasses?
>Currently, the dock is available exclusively as part of the complete bundle and is not offered as a standalone product.
Q: Does the ROG XREAL R1 support HDR content?
>The ROG XREAL R1 supports HDR signal input through the ROG Control Dock, which handles HDR tone mapping for optimized display output.
HDR functionality is managed via the ROG Control Dock: when HDR is enabled on the Dock, the connected host device can then enable HDR output accordingly. If HDR is not enabled on the Dock, HDR options on the host device will not be available.
When both are enabled, the system performs tone mapping to ensure consistent and accurate visual output.
Q: Does the ROG XREAL R1 support the same ultrawide 32:9 mode as the One series
>Yes. The ROG XREAL R1 supports multiple ultrawide display formats, including 32:9,21:9 and 16:18.
Q: Can the ROG XREAL R1 be connected to a Nintendo Switch?
>The glasses require external power, so the Nintendo Switch must be used with its Dock.
By connecting the Switch Dock to the ROG Control Dock via HDMI and supplying external power, the R1 can display Switch output.
Q: Is the field of view (FOV) the same as XREAL One Pro?
>Yes. The ROG XREAL R1 has the same field of view as the XREAL One Pro, which is 57°.
Q: Are the prescription lenses for ROG XREAL R1 and XREAL One Pro compatible?
>Yes. The prescription lens inserts for the ROG XREAL R1 and XREAL One Pro are compatible and can be used interchangeably.

- Display & Visual Experience Upgrade Built on the X Prism optical system, the R1 enhances clarity and depth perception. - ROG Co-Engineered Optimization The R1 is co-optimized with ROG devices, including handheld gaming platforms, enabling a more seamless plug-and-play gaming experience. It also integrates enhanced audio tuning and ecosystem-level optimization to further improve gaming immersion. When connected through the ROG Control Dock, the system also supports select ROG-exclusive gaming features typically found on ROG monitors, including GamePlus, GameVisual, and Shadow Boost.
- Desktop-Optimized Large Screen Experience The R1 delivers a virtual display equivalent to approximately 171 inches at a 4-meter viewing distance, providing a more immersive and stable large-screen experience that is especially well-suited for desktop gaming and console setups.
- ROG Control Dock Ecosystem The bundled ROG Control Dock supports multi-device connectivity (up to 3 devices via 2× HDMI + 1× DP), including PCs, handhelds, PS5, and Xbox. It supports external power input for charging while playing and enables up to 1080p 240Hz input, with quick-access controls for display adjustments.
- Product Positioning Compared to other products in the lineup, XREAL One Pro focuses on general premium AR and entertainment use, while the ROG XREAL R1 is specifically optimized for high refresh rate competitive gaming and esports performance.
Purchase & Compatibility
Q: The Best Buy website only shows one version. Which size is it?
>Currently, the Best Buy / ROG sales channel only offers the narrow size version of the ROG XREAL R1.
If you require the broad size option, both narrow and broad sizes are available through the XREAL Shop. We recommend placing your order via the XREAL Shop to ensure you receive the correct size for your IPD.
Q: What if I have nearsightedness?
>The box includes a non-prescription insert that can be fitted with prescription lenses by your optician. You can also order prescription lens inserts directly from the official link for a more convenient solution.
Q: What are the IPD options?
>To ensure optimal visual clarity and wearing comfort, we recommend selecting based on IPD (Interpupillary Distance):
- Narrow size: 57mm – 66mm
- Broad size: 66mm – 75mm
>We recommend choosing Broad size if your measurement is 66mm. Currently, the Best Buy / ROG channel only offers the narrow size version.
If you need the larger IPD option (Broad size), both Narrow and Broad sizes are available through the XREAL Shop, so we’d recommend placing your order there instead.
Q: Why are the shipping dates different between retailers and the official XREAL store?
>Shipping timelines may vary between different sales channels and retailers. For the most accurate information, please refer to the estimated shipping date shown on the respective product page.
Q: Will the ROG XREAL R1 be available on Amazon or in regions such as Canada and Australia?
>At this time, Amazon availability and pre-order availability for regions including Canada and Australia have not yet been officially opened. If there are confirmed updates regarding new retail channels or regional availability, we’ll share them with the community as soon as possible.
