We are 3 weeks into a full-scale societal collapse. No power, no municipal water, no law enforcement, and every supermarket was stripped clean in the first 48 hours. The city has turned silent, paranoid, and dangerous.

Your initial home supplies are completely gone. You cannot bug out because all exits, highways, and bridges are blocked, ambushed, or impassable. You are forced to stay in the urban jungle and scavenge to survive.

What is your tactic for sourcing clean water from urban structures (hvac systems, water heaters, rain collection) without exposing yourself to hostile groups? And how do you hunt, forage, or scavenge calories in a concrete wasteland when traditional food sources no longer exist?

A structural failure or localized hazard forces an immediate 72-hour police evacuation of your building. You can’t go back in, you have no car, hotels/shelters are completely booked or closed, and you only have the contents of your daypack.

You have to spend the next 3 nights in the urban environment without getting mugged, arrested for trespassing, or freezing/overheating.

What is your strategy for finding safe, hidden sleeping spots (urban stealth camping), securing water, and staying off the radar in a hostile city environment?

A major cyber incident or infrastructure glitch has completely wiped out electronic payment systems, ATMs, and card terminals across your city. Banks are closed or unable to dispense cash, and stores are strictly operating on a cash-only basis with no change to give.

Grocery stores are filling up with confused and angry crowds who can't pay for essential items.

How much physical cash do you keep on hand at home for scenarios like this, and what is your strategy to secure necessities without relying on digital transactions or credit cards?

Within just 45 minutes, an extreme summer storm completely overwhelms the citys drainage system. Streetlevel water is rising rapidly, cars are getting stuck, and water is beginning to seep into basement apartments and low-lying building entrances. Public transit is immediately suspended.

You are at home when this happens. What are your immediate actions in the first hour? How do you protect your gear/belongings, and what is your plan if the local electrical substation gets flooded and shuts down?

Im Sub lief es die letzten Monate absolut beschissen. Beiträge flogen ohne Begründung raus und Leute wurden willkürlich gebannt, während der echte Müll oft stehen blieb. Mich hat das selbst extrem abgefuckt. Ich bin jetzt seit fast einem Jahr hier als Moderatorin aktiv und habe nach meiner Bewerbung damals wirklich versucht, ordentlich aufzuräumen.

Jedes Mal, wenn ich berechtigt Leute gebannt oder Spam gelöscht habe, wurden meine Entscheidungen öfters von den anderen im Team im Hintergrund einfach wieder resettet. Ich habe das im mod chat immer wieder angesprochen, wurde aber weitestgehend ignoriert. Ich konnte am Ende gar nichts machen, weil mir schlichtweg die Rechte fehlten. Der ehemalige Inhaber war im Grunde komplett inaktiv und hat alle paar Tage nur eine alibi aktion gebracht, zum Beispiel einen uralten Beitrag freigeschaltet, nur damit er für Reddit nicht inaktiv wirkt und sein Subreddit verliert

Ich hatte die Schnauze voll und habe ein offizielles Ticket bei Reddit eingereicht. Vor nicht einmal zwei Wochen kam dann endlich die Nachricht: Die alte Leitung fliegt wegen dieser Alibi Aktionen und der dauerhaften Inaktivität raus. Ich habe ab sofort die alleinige Leitung über das Sub.

Mir geht es darum, dass wir wieder eine normale Frage und Antwort Community werden. Ab heute gelten 7 klare Regeln, die ihr in der Sidebar nachlesen könnt. Schluss mit der Sabotage und Willkür von früher.

Ich habe auch die Filter massiv verschärft. AutoMod und neue Spam Bots fegen Trolle, Scam Links und Hassrede ab jetzt sofort vollautomatisch raus, bevor sie online gehen. Um das Ganze wieder persönlicher zu machen, sind ab sofort auch die Userflairs aktiv. Ihr könnt euch im Profil jetzt selbst Rollen geben

Ich will den Job hier auf Dauer nicht alleine machen. Ich möchte ein faires Team aufbauen, das ordentlich mitanpackt, deswegen sind die Bewerbungen geöffnet vorerst

Authorities state it will take at least 5 to 7 days to fix. No tap water, no toilets flushing, and local stores are immediately cleaned out of bottled water.

What are your first steps within the first 12 hours? How much water do you have stored right now, and what is your plan to secure more or manage sanitation in a dense urban environment without a running grid?

The sirens are wailing and emergency services are ordering an immediate evacuation of your area due to a severe industrial chemical accident nearby. Air quality is dropping rapidly and you have 10 minutes max to leave your place.

What does your 10-minute evacuation checklist look like? Do you have a dedicated bag ready to go, or what are the absolute essentials you are grabbing before hitting the door?

Personally, I think securing water and staying low/insulating the apartment is priority number one before even thinking about moving or leaving the area.
