[Meta] Question, How do you prove you made your art?
I tried crossposting this from r/ArtistHate but, they dont allow it. Forgive me if I sound like a broken record, I am just curious to see other peoples opinions on the subject.
Hey ya'll I have a bit of a dilemma when it comes to proving my work is mine. I have some art friends in a discord where we were discussing ways to navigate this artificial art world. Some, including myself, are concerned with ways to prove we drew our work without putting more undo stress. Some say they use Glaze, others say they try to take a picture of themselves with their work but, others who are Vtubers dont want to do that. One of my friends said they experienced someone DMing them saying they would rather take their work and make similar drawings in Stable Diffusion than deal with their prices. We thought there would be a more professional way to prove we made the work but, that doesnt exist and it kinda doesnt make sense to do copyright registrations. So I bring the question to you, what do you do nowadays? Do you speedpaint or post each individual layer(if you do digital work)? Or do you do something else?
To be honest, I feel a little bit like a broken record here but, I am still curious what people do now since most posts I see are like years old so I am not sure if they are relevant or not and I feel like things are slowly getting worse as more tech is coming out of the wood works like crazy. I saw Content Credentials, which is great but, how does that help independent artists or even digital artists who post on instagram or other social media sites where stuff can get screenshot. Metadata can be changed and watermarks can be removed so we dunno. I heard there are some open-source options as well.
