Excel IRR formula

Hi everyone. I need other people's view on something.

When preparing DCF models for work i always manually calculate IRR by using goal seek or manually changing the WACC. The reason I do this is because from my understanding Excel's IRR formula doesn't work properly when TV is calculated using the WACC as the circularity in the calculations causes the iterative process of the IRR formula (which is in itself just a glorified goal seek too). When using a multiple approach to calculate TV this shouldn't be an issue though.

However at my current company we usually use WACC and LTGR to calculate TV so it is indeed an issue. I first pointed this out but at nobody really believed me. In the meantime i've managed to convince my supervisor that the IRR excel formula is not accurate but everyone else in the group uses it and it is specially bad when preparing sensitivity tables for presentation as the whole thing is then not correct.

Since i am the only one who seems to see this as an issue I've come here to ask what are other people's take on this? Am i correct or am i just being stupid?

Occasional freelance work - income classification

Hi everyone. i am currently employed and expect to remain so. However I recently joined a couple of platforms, mainly US based where it's possible to freelance work related to AI work. A couple of months ago i did a few hours and got some money but since it wasn't a lot i figured I'd worry about the admnistrative part later.

However i've been offered a role with a high ceiling of number of hours allowed. It seems like it could reach like 15-20k€ for one month. I'm wondering what is the best way to declare this revenue? I guess that "occasional income" will not cut it for such a high amount.

It is also not expected to continue in the future, it's a 1-month project with maybe another month extension.

Thanks for any advice.

Driver’s license - best platform?

Hi,
My wife wants to study for Permis B and we are wondering what is the best site/platform for studying?
I did mine 10 years ago and I remember I just did a couple of blank exams then passed the exam but apparently it’s harder now?
Anyway, I would appreciate feedback from people who have done it recently.
For info she’s 40, not the best student and speaks French.
Thanks for any tips!
