There were some MASTERFUL scenes in GoT… Appreciation Post to the Tywin’s Council Seating scene… the scene might seem comical & slight compared many of the higher action scenes in seasons 2-4… But to me it IS the Game of Thrones incarnate. Recall the context: season 3, ep 3… just after the Blackwater… Tywin’s first opportunity to demonstrate his grip on his new small council… He (and the show writers) demonstrate that grip Completely Without dialogue.. The play-by-play comes back to each of us without even watching:
• Tywin standing cooly, waits in the new small council chamber, table before him.
• Baelish, Varys, and Pycelle stumble in to a halt at Tywin’s gaze, eager to please.
• Tyrion trots to a halt behind the three, smirk tugging at his face foreseeing what’s to come…
• Tywin takes his seat, defining the game: “who will position themself nearest his power?”… He holds his gaze upon the players so as to remind them he’s keeping track of how quickly they catch on.
• Varys adeptly makes to respond first, until Baelish surges ahead to sit closest to Tywin, Pycelle left to stumble over to the 3rd closest seat.
• Cersei arrives in her own due time, yet immediately discerns the game. She has no trouble moving the 4th closest seat around the table to Tywin’s right-hand side… She has rewritten the rules to win her round.
• all-stare at Tyrion as he gracelessly yet masterfully adopts the most scorned chair, and drags it to sit Opposite Tywin. He has remade the Game (of thrones), entirely; Rather than sitting to amplify Tywin’s Power, he balances that power by taking the only seat equivalent in position to Tywin’s.
Everybody can afford to appreciate Tyrion winning one over his doubters, and this scene for me captures a signif portion of the “show, don’t tell” Writing that really set GoT in its own league 🫡
Morty’s original “Cronenberg” Dimension… I’m curious how you guys thinks some of the various “Powerful” individuals & organisations (Mr. Nimbus, the CHUDs, Planetina, the Squirrels, etc) handled the Cronenberg Apocalypse.
We know the CHUDs are susceptible to biological weapons, so one hopes they stayed underground… the Squirrels for all their material & social influence, may still have been helpless in the face of a Cronenberg pandemic… but any chance Mr. Nimbus or Planetina would’ve resisted the Cronenberg Apocalypse?

Say a Magizoologist like Newt Scamander (or someone who holds him in high regard) dedicated their life to studying magical creatures and found themselves Enraptured with Boggarts— Especially the nature of their true form! In Fact, more than anything, they Longed to see a Boggart in its natural state!
What would that magizoologist see in the Mirror of Erised?
As we know, as much as HYDRA experimented with the sceptre, they only had one successful human trial survive: the Twins. HYDRA had the Maximoff twins under their watchful eye for plenty of time; They undoubtedly underwent comprehensive genetic analysis & sampling.
“Cut off one Head and Two More Take its Place” … Garrett, Whitehall, Strucker, Ward, Hale… After enough experienced Heads of HYDRA are removed, would a less experienced, less well-equipped HYDRA cell be willing to use genetic samples from the Maximoffs to try & create “enhanced super soldiers” by whatever means (cloning, IVF, recombinant DNA, etc)?
