Folding mattress

I have been lurking here a while and learned so much about different options. I will be moving and will need a nee simple setup because the place is small. I already have a folding exercise gym mat with 2inch vinyl enclosed foam that is pretty firm and can be used as a base. I have used it with just a thin cotton bedspread on top but would like a little support since I do side sleep half the time.

I looked into latex- too heavy. Cotton- gets flat quickly. I looked at some folding mattresses on A-mazon but the reviews seemed paid for. I like the idea of something that can be made into a floor couch during the day.

Any suggestions? Something for Florida climate and not too expensive since this is a trial phase.

[Tenant US-FL] Landlords do you do turnover prep while tenant is still living there?

I have rented for 8 years from an out of state landlord who doesn’t have a property manager and hasn’t visited once in all these years. Any repairs I got landlord’s approval, scheduled and supervised handyman & often paid upfront before adjusting in rent. Even paid rent weeks earlier when landlord asked for it to pay for bigger repairs like water heater or air conditioner. Never paid late. Even dealt with HOA issues because landlord had no contact with anyone. And now after they want to raise rent above some market comps I gave the legal 30 day notice since we were month to month.

So he tells me, not asks, to make condo available for turnover prep by the handyman and basically supervise the repairs so that he can rent as soon as I move out. Messages me in the middle of Monday and follows up with further texts in evening and accuses me of silent treatment because I didn’t reply by night.

I finally messaged him saying I wasn’t available for early access and repairs would have to be done after I move out. To which he threatens me that he can call police and owners have absolute right to enter with a notice.

It’s not like I live in a big house with a yard where the handyman can do repairs outside. I live in a small 2 bedroom condo with my child and work from home.

In all my time renting I haven’t had a landlord make such a demand. This is what I get for being a model tenant of eight years!

I am thinking of getting an air fryer and the Ninja Crispi portable seems to meet my needs well. The only thing that I worry about is the cord getting in the way every time I lift the lid.

I do like that the top comes off and is thus easier to clean. It’s tradeoff
