I was six. I've had a soft spot for the Sandman ever since.

So many teams just refuse to stray far from spawn, which almost guarantees a blowout loss. It also makes the game torturous for TD mains. I will upvote any med who actually goes med side now, even if they get shredded immediately. Maybe recency bias and stupidly trying to calibrate at 2:30 in the afternoon just has me pissed off.
Tragic that we lost this great talent when he was just 43.
The late battle suicides to guarantee a win when people decide it's hopeless really hurt this format. I've seen 2-3 Survivalists pull out amazing victories, but that's impossible when people give up and self frag.
I strapped a barrel of gun powder to my back and ran into the middle of the enemy camp fire. Somehow, they let me live long enough to do it twice.
Now it's 7 on 7 for 84 seconds.
What could go wrong?
Aptly titled because this sci-fi/horror gem from 1987 is very overlooked. It's a high energy film driven by a pounding heavy metal soundtrack. I heard it called The Thing meets 48 Hours, and while that's not a perfect comp, it's not bad. Michael Nouri handles the jaded 80's detective role very capably; MacLaclan is good as the FBI agent with a big secret. The monstrous consumerism subtext is a bit on the nose, but was also quite prescient. I remember my friends and I seeing this at the drive-in with zero expectations and totally loving this movie. Highly recommended.
Depth, in particular, is tough to ascertain this time of year because it reveals itself throughout the season. Off the top of my head, I think TE may be stronger at the top next year, but it will lack the seemingly endless depth found in this recent class. Safety definitely looks weaker to me next year.
Personally, I kind of like it. Master Shake is an irredeemable asshole and I think that comes through in this piece. It's awfully large, though.
