Is this unreasonable: update

Original post https://www.reddit.com/r/Nanny/s/NZ1nZTBu7A

So i read every single comment and suggestion and im thankful for it all. I’ve accepted that screen time will be a no and I’m okay with that. Since then ive been trying to create more stimulating activities for nk (4y). Its been really hard and i feel like im constantly the entertainment as her attention span isn’t long. Shes also bored as hell (being bored is okay sometimes)

Anyways

I asked MB if we could open the kinetic sand that’s been hidden in the closet for months and she said no. The reason was because it’s messy… i said i will vacuum and mop and said it’s a lot of fun and continued to reassure her that it will be cleaned up. Nope. And that was my last straw. I’m quitting. I cant. Am i crazy?!!!!

Is this unreasonable?

Requested to do a movie every other week to month with nk (4y) because it’s 95+ degrees hot by the time we get done with breakfast. MB said no. No outings besides the park and backyard no audio books either. I feel like everything i suggest gets shut down. I’m used to having autonomy in my day to day work life. This is hard.

Yes ofc there are other things we can do and we do…but I’m here 9 hours a day and it would be nice to have a break and give her something to look forward to. Thought and suggestions appreciated

Understand burnout

I would just like to say having understanding NF make the world of a difference. This morning, I was scrambling of an excuse as to why I can’t come in because I’m mentally depleted and need a rest day. I’m approaching burnout and decided I was just gonna be honest and tell them I’m feeling rundown today. There was response was okay thanks for letting us know! Hope you feel better soon.

All that anxiety is gone and now I can actually rest today.
