How to get better as a beginner

Looking for help getting better. Play as a ball hockey goalie (but with floor hockey sticks only) and looking for ways to practice the basics. Never played goalie before.

So I’m recently on a bit of a cold streak. Keep getting beat clean from shots that I should be able to save more often. I know the basics of glove and blocker out front, angle, square, depth, watch the ball all the way. However when it comes to playing, I keep catching myself not following these simple rules and getting beat by shots.

What can I do at home to help with this!! Also my butterfly is extremely narrow, and any tips with this would be appreciated!!
