To all the ppl with thalassophobia who play this game (or any kind of fear related to this game whatsoever), how is your expierience with Subnautica? :3

Im just generally curious. One of the reasons i started to play this game a year ago is bc of how creepy it can be. When i did start i found out its personally not very scary for me (but rather fascinating hence i love it anyway) so i want to know how is it for players who ARE at least slightly scared of some parts of the game. Tell me your expieriences, im listening :3

I cant be the only one who got scared when i first saw these things from far away in my first playthrough, right?

Just wondering if anyone felt the same

Why do Airship and Fungle have no visual task?

Skeld has literally 5 (scan, asteroids, 2x trash, shields)

Polus has 2 (scan and asteroids)

Mira has 1 (scan)

Airship and Fungle? They have literally 0 visual tasks. Why is that? Imo both should have at least one, or two at max, but why 0?

Things about the game that got revealed to us in the series

I assume the series is canon (also bc i think they themselves said it) so i dont wanna hear any "but its not canon" bullcrap in the comments. Anyway here is what got revealed to us about the game that we didnt know before:

1. What does MIRA exactly do: It seems like the company has smth to do with power supply and stuff (i might be wrong tho) and uses space-ore for it (its still unsure what they wanna do with the eggs tho or if the whole fuel-thing is fake)

2. Whats the crewmates job: the crewmates job seems to be to transport the ore for MIRA (i personally thought its a research ship before)

3. What exactly are impostors: now we finally know exactly. they are a parasitic species comming from the Ore+ eggs. They use other ppls bodies to trick their prey and can take over their entire person, even their memories and personality. Their actual appearance is a pinkish giant blob. They seem to be quite intelligent (except orange. iykyk) and kill just for fun.

4. Why can they vent while the crew mostly cant: vents are too small for the crewmates to fit in while impostors can bc they dont have a bone. Tho i dont really udnerstand why engineers in the game can vent then (well for Lime it was bc he has a flexible bone but that cant really count for every engineer)

5. How do the ppl get ejected: we never knew until now. They actually use the garbage disposal in the cafeteria. lol

6. We now saw the actual sabotages in action and their direct impact on the crew

7. What happens to the bodies: they just put them in another room. Idk why we dont see them ingame but ig it is what it is

8. How the crew identifies if the ejected was an imp or not: seems like imps kinda explode with their goo in space while crewmates dont

9. How the Skeld looks actually: we've only seen the interior from perspective in the game but now we could actually see how it actually looks like

Tbh there are still things we dont know, like what does MIRA do with the eggs, how can most engineers vent, how do other roles work, what happened with the other colors that we didnt see (the newer ones), why isnt pink on the ship, whatabout Polus and the thing that bugs me most: if the crewmates are named by the color then how are the other ppl called with the same colors. I hope some of these questions get revealed in the next season

Guys am i cooked? (Read body text)

Sry for the german. I will translate: "This App is not compatible anymore with your device. If you need additional information, pls talk to the developer"

Basically it seems like my game isnt compatible anymore. Admittingly i play on a Samsung Galaxy J6 which is a device from 2018 (i only replace my devices when absolutely necessary). Funnily enough i can still normally play this game without issues but the way i see it i am unable to do Updates anymore. Its weird bc i have played and still play games that are older than among us and suddenly i cant update it on this not even 10 year old device?

I suppose there is nothing i can do except play until i get a new phone (which i plan to do soonly in a couple of weeks) and hope no Update will be needed till then

For those who think they cannot watch the show

Some of u sure thought like me like "i cant watch the show bc i dont wanna pay for Paramount+ subscription"

And idk if its clear anyway or obvious but for Newcomers you can watch the first Week for free.

I personally will make myself an Account there, watch it in that one Week and then unsubscribe once im done. This way i can watch the show without paying for a sub :)

I thought just in case i will drop it here bc maybe it helps someone but idk how obvious this was and maybe this post was a waste of time lol. But if this helps anyone im glad :)

A question about character pricing

Ive been in this game only afew months and i realized since beginning that some (non licensed) characters cost 2250 IS, some 4500 and some 9000.

How do this prices happen? Does every killer start with 9000 and it gets lower over time or did they start with this price? And if its the first one, do the current 9000 Killers eventually also drop to 4500? How does it work?

Killer role idea: Arsonist (image kinda related ig?)

I have a very interesting idea for an arsonist killer role in among us and wrote a concept for it. This idea would be similar to the modded role, that most of you sure know, just made different to be an imp-team role and more fitting to the game.

The text could be long as I’m describing it in very, VERY close detail, but I will make a TLDR at the end.

Ability: the arsonist doesn’t have a kill button per say. Instead, he has a “dose” button and a “light up button”.

Dosing: The arsonist first has to dose the crewmates. Using the dose button on a crewmate next to you does exactly that to them. After dosing someone it goes on a cooldown which is equal to the kill cooldown of other impostors and can’t be altered in the settings to have an individual cooldown.

You can have 3 dosed crewmates at the same time (could be changed to 4 in the settings). These then have a yellow name as an indicator and (only) the arsonist himself can see it, but in the settings, it be changeable for other killers to see it as well if the host desires so. No crewmate, not even the victim himself can tell if they are dosed or not, to not expose the killer right away. Once a meeting happens it will reset the dosing and the killer has to redo the process afterwards.

(I think about if this should also be changeable in the settings but I’m not sure if it would be OP or not)

(Also, I think about if it should be selectable in the settings, that the survivors, even the victims themselves, in fact can see yellow stains on the dosed survivors and dripping from them after a couple of seconds after they are dosed)

Lighting up: The second button is the “light up” button. This ability is always available as long as there is at least one dosed crewmate. Pressing it kills every dosed crewmate instantly, no matter how far away they are. If a player is killed that way, there will be a fire effect over the falling body so that witnesses won’t just wonder why the heck the guy just died suddenly. The killer himself will also have this optical effect over them for a second so be careful to not use it when someone is nearby bc ppl can tell this way that you are the killer. Also, the crewmate gets a unique kill screen.

Pros:

·       Allows you to kill from a distance

·       Allows you to kill multiple ppl at once

·       While the amount of crewmates you kill long term doesn’t change, killing them all at once nullifies the possibility of someone finding a body before 3 ppl died (unless someone else kills someone meanwhile)

·       Unexperienced players won’t be able to tell if you are the imp or not cuz they cannot tell if you dose someone or not

·       Guardian angel shield can’t block dosing (but can block the light up but it’s not like they can tell when you are about to do it)

Cons:

·       If someone sees you with the light up particles, you are screwed (like as if someone sees you ss, viper kill or phantom)

·       Experienced players can look out for who was near the dosed person, before they died, to tell

·       If you (as crew) see someone die to fire, then any person near you who doesn’t have the particles is basically cleared

·       Meetings can reset your progress

·       Other imps can unintentionally mess up your work by killing the dosed ppl (could be changed via settings though)

·       As with the kill cooldown, the dose cooldown won’t run down while in a vent and the killer cant dose/light up while in a vent

TLDR: the arsonist is a killer who can’t regularly kill but can dose up to 3 ppl and then light then up afterwards. Dosing has a cooldown, lighting up doesn’t. Killed ppl as well as the killer himself will have a fire particle effect during the kill which can give him away. This ability allows the killer to kill multiple ppl at the same time and from a safe distance.

What do u think :3

First of all: i do not have any issues with my male gender identity at all. But i always found the whole nonbinary thing fascinating, like how someone can feel like theyre neither male nor female and using they/them as pronouns. Also the enby flag is designwise one of my very fav pride flags.

Im having some internet-furry-identity which is already different in a way that i am irl and since i find the whole nonbinary stuff cool even tho i dont doubt my current gender, i plan to make my internet-furry-identity nonbinary. This wouldnt affect me irl, id still be male irl, but id be nonbinary on the internet.

Is that smth ok to do or would it be against what being nonbinary actually stands for or would it be smth insulting towards actually enby ppl? Let me know so that i dont accidentally end up doing smth rather controversial.

(Ignoring the fact that some killers arent available there)

For example I think maybe Singularity plus a human killer wouldnt really work out but i could see Legion and Ghostface working weil together
