What should I do with this?
So for the first time in my life I had my windows tinted yesterday. The guy did a good job as far as it looks but it took him twice as long as he told me it was going to. I dropped it off at 1 and then as my uber was arriving to take me to pick up the car at 5 he hits me with a “Family emergency, Had to leave the shop for a few hours it’s going to take 1 more,” and it was like that for the whole night. Finally about 10 pm I get back. Their lobby closed at 5. I didn’t have anywhere to wait and he wouldn’t let me wait in the shop.
Now today, as I am putting my seats down to load up my lumber in the old 2014 Toyota Corolla LE ECO Plus Premium I notice some broken glass with heat lines in the crevice of my trunk. This car is pristine. My mother got it from an old lady that never drove it. Then she didn’t either, I got it when she died in October. There has NEVER been any reason for broken glass in this vehicle. No accidents. All factory parts. On top of that I am 99% sure that this is not the same windshield that I had yesterday morning.
The guy worked his ass off. Everytime I saw the little dude he was drenched in sweat. For the wait he did the sunroof at 20% for free. I’m in Oregon so the rest is 35%. It was already a special he was running from $420 down to $360 and then I asked for another $10 off. In the end, I paid $350 for all side windows, rear windshield, and the sunroof. Do I say something to the guy? It looks like he did a good job with the replacement. Do I just leave it alone and appreciate the free lightly used windshield? Help me out people.
