Going to sinhagad fort, finally!

Finally after waiting for the Pune monsoon since shifting here, today is the time that my wife and I (both 31) will finally go to the OG sinhagad fort! If someone will be there between 4 and 6 pm, come say hi!!

Would love to open it for more people to join from Pune, but my wife is not too keen on it..! So yeah, hope you all are having a good monsoon weekend!

Tukai Devi Baner

Each Purnima, there is a mahaprashad at Tukai Devi hill temple at Baner.

It is a short hike up (maybe 150 steps or so) and you get a good view of the city and Pashan lake. If not the hike, there is another way from Sus road side, which reduces the hike to 20 steps or so.

Below are the timings if anyone is interested:

Aarti - 7 PM
Mahaprashad - 7.30 PM

I’ll be going there today and feel free to ask any questions!

Recommendations to crash a Marathi wedding in Pune

Have you guys crashed a wedding here? Or do people have harsh opinions against it?
Which places are the safest to not get caught, and when is a good time of the year where max Marathi weddings are planned generally?

Firefly Festival + Stargazing - Bhandardara vs. Rajmachi?

Have been reading a lot about Bhandardhara and Rajmachi. Does anybody have any suggestions about which is better? I read somewhere that we can see milky way and shizz on these treks, so really looking forward to going there next weekend.

No current in Balewadi since 3.30 PM 🥹

And there’s no sign of coming back either! The last time I experienced this was maybe in Bareilly, 25 years ago 🤣

Ideas to entertain and pass time?

Couple’s meetup invitation - Activities Plan!

Hello PuneMeetup Fam!

My wife and I recently moved to Pune from Bangalore, and we’ve really enjoyed attending a few meetups from this community so far :)

We’re currently working on a book around spending better quality time with loved ones — with less screen time and more meaningful conversations/activities.

As part of that, we wanted to host a small casual social evening next weekend to try out 1–2 conversation prompts/activities from the book and get honest feedback from people here.

Plan:
- Likely at a café/public place or at our home near Baner (can decide based on convenience)
- Super informal and relaxed
- A couple of fun activities/conversation prompts from the book
- We split the bill if we go out

When:
Anytime between Friday evening (15th May) and Sunday evening (17th May)

This is purely a social/community interaction!

Would love to meet people who enjoy:
- meaningful conversations
- low-screen-time activities
- board games / social experiences
- meeting new people in Pune

If this sounds interesting, feel free to comment or DM!
