Tried Momoka - Kissaten in KP today. One of the most unique cafés I've been to in Pune 🇯🇵🍜
The café has a cozy Japanese street-style vibe that's quite different from the usual aesthetic cafés around KP. The ambience is calm, minimal, and feels authentic without trying too hard.
We tried:
- 🥪 Chicken Katsu Sando
- 🍛 Katsu Curry Udon
- 🍔 Chicken Tori Katsu Croburg
- 🧸 Liam's Teddy Bear dessert (almost too cute to eat 😄)
My favorites were the Katsu Curry Udon and the Chicken Katsu Sando. The katsu was crispy, the portions were satisfying, and the presentation was really nice. The teddy bear dessert was a fun way to end the meal.
Tried the tiramisu from RIHLA BAKEHOUSE
Ordered the tiramisu via Zomato, had heard a lot about it. I would easily give this tiramisu 8.5/10, for me si nonna’s is the best but this one comes a close second. The consistency is to die for. The two points were cut because I don’t like egg ka taste in my dessert and also the coffee ka taste was a bit bitter but if someone doesn’t mind that they’ll like this a lot. Definitely good I must say. Next time I’ll try their gelatos too
Chicken Katsu Sando!
Location : Handmade Cafe, Kalyani Nagar
Ambience : Nature Vibes, peaceful and calm
Food rating : 8.5/10 (Chicken Katsu Sando)
Parking : Can be an issue for 4 wheelers
If you’re tired of the usual crowded, loud cafes and just want a massive, peaceful green space to unwind, work, or grab a solid coffee, this is it.
The Vibe (10/10)
The ambiance is easily the biggest selling point. It’s got a massive outdoor seating area that is absolutely packed with plants and greenery. It feels less like a commercial cafe and more like chilling in a really cozy, upscale backyard. Super calm, breezy, and completely cuts out the Kalyani Nagar traffic noise. There’s also an indoor area, and the upper level has a lifestyle retail store called Chidiya.
The Food & Coffee (9/10)
The cool thing about this place is that they live up to the name—almost everything is prepared in-house. They have their own bakery, so the bread and baked goods are incredibly fresh.
Coffee: Really well-balanced. If you like trying different things, their mango matcha is surprisingly good, and the standard mocha was spot on.
Food: Highly recommend the Katsu Sando (the breading was perfectly crispy) and their fresh pizzas. The pancakes are also a huge hit if you have a sweet tooth.
Service & Hospitality
The staff is super attentive without being hovering. The owners are actually around quite a bit, chatting with people and giving genuine recommendations on what to order, which gives it a nice, homely touch. They also have a dedicated area for kids, so it’s pretty family-friendly if you're coming with a group.
TL;DR:
Pros: Incredible green aesthetics, very peaceful, excellent specialty coffee, and everything is baked fresh in-house. Great for a date, a work session, or just reading a book.
Cons: Can get busy during peak weekend evening hours (like any good place in Kalyani Nagar), so timing is key if you want the best outdoor spots.
Definitely adding this to my regular rotation. Anyone else been here yet? What did you guys think of the food?
Sizzler’s and Dhansak at Zamu’s Place
All this rain made me crave for Sizzlers for lunch today. Went to Zamu’s after a long time.
Zamu’s is one of those iconic old timey place in Pune. Was probably this place where I had my first ever sizzlers.
Ordered 2 make your own sizzlers - one with chicken and the other one with lamb chops. Loved them both. Would’ve liked if the chicken was more tender. The lamb chops though were cooked to perfection. Absolutely recommend it along with the sides and sauce of your choice.
BUT the chicken dhansak really really stole the show. It was so comforting with perfect amount of spice. Just perfect for a rainy day. Would recommend you visit there and enjoy the old timey vibes of the place along with the food. But if you cant, do order-in the dhansak. And thank me later ;)
Caramel custard is pass. Order something else for dessert.
Total bill was 2688/-
A Little Date Night Appreciation ❤️@Speak Low, Koregoan Park
Benny's shwarma koregaon park
Tried Benny's shwarma yesterday cause they claim that they're authentic and put a lot more chicken in their shwarmas than other's hence they're expensive.
Tbh the taste was nice and all except being a bit sour but did not really feel like that they put that much chicken in it considering that it costs like 150 and the size felt a bit small too.
Overall 7 or 8 out of 10, would rate it 9 if it was around 110 or 120.
What was your experience?

Visiting Pune for the first time!
Hey ppl 👋 My name’s Shreya, and I’m visiting Pune for the first time. Born and brought up in Australia, so I’m not as aware about actual Indian/Marathi culture tbh but super keen to explore. Why Pune? Because my parents are from Pune, they met and got married there etc. hence the city holds a special place in their heart. So they suggested that for my trip to India, I start off with Pune!! :)
Just needed a bit of help on best places to visit in the city for a 10 day stay, and any tips/precautions I should be aware of ❤️😊
PS : I tried posting in r/Pune, idk why they keep removing it :(

From milling my own ragi flour to mixing every batch with ingredients I genuinely trust.
I love sharing the process because good food shouldn’t be a mystery. What you see is exactly what goes into every cookie

Found one of the prettiest, greenest spots in Pune to spend evenings
Hi everyone,
Yesterday I went to one of the very pretty places ( ICARO near the Empress garden) I have been to till now in Pune. I know it's subjective, but I love greenery and this place is right in between nature, so many trees, a cool breeze, and a lovely outside sitting area to enjoy all of it.
They have coffee and light snacks like toast, sandwiches, etc. The taste is very good and the ambience is lovely. I had a spanish latte and a mushroom sandwich (it was so good!) and I just sat there relaxing for 2 hours.
The staff is very friendly and the service was good. It's not a very big place, just a small, quite spacious one, and they haven't filled all of it up, which keeps it feeling open and peaceful.
Sharing some pictures of the place from my visit!
