About the Whole "Flowers" Thing...
So, when an actor or actress either has to, or chooses to leave a Kamen Rider show (if not the whole franchise), they get a bouquet of flowers supposedly...I repeat, SUPPOSEDLY meaning that their character isn't coming back.
But tell me something...
What happens if this character, whoever he or she is, suddenly does return in a future episode? My understanding is that previous shows have pulled 180s, 360s, 540s, 720s, and all kinds of other stuff in the past that--just saying--have been known to play with the viewers emotions (especially if it determines whether or not a show has a tragic ending, or even an ambiguous one that dodges the issue either way). So, what were to happen if a character, who is supposed to not be coming back ends up coming back after all? Heck, it may not even be the original actor, it could be a different actor who looks similar. Does this character actually stay, or is it just a one time thing where the show twists it around (again), and suddenly this character really isn't coming back?
I guess what I'm trying to say is, is an actor or actress getting flowers really meant to tell everyone that their character really isn't coming back? After all, it would be the kind of plot twist previous shows would do (even if they don't actually do this particular one). Is this sort of thing really as reliable as it looks? Considering that Kamen Rider Zeztz (for instance) is all about dreams and the dream world, what's to stop >!Kureha/Code Number 6!<from suddenly coming back in a later episode. Is the whole "flowers" thing really what it looks like, or is it all really just only a conclusion the viewers came to in the end?
