This morning is the school's annual sports day where the students plsy various games then after lunch it field events.

I am looking forward today and I hope to do well in these activities.

I am in my second week of my exchange in belgium and this week has been a disaste.

Can anyone advise me on how I can get back on track with my experience of the exchange programme here the school is great.

I was late for class from leaving the gym changing rooms i was 5 minutes late but the modern history teacher gave a lecture and then told me to stand outside the door, and 3 points on my behaviour record which now stands on 6 points.

Will i be in further trouble if the headmaster finds out about this. Or should I be ok wkth my detention on Wednesday

The gym is about 2 blocks away from the main school which is a long walk back to main school building

The school dinners in Beglium are a lot healthier than in England, and they are all themed today its Disney characters.

The meals are in box contain and you have open the box without too much noise. The lunch break is 12 to 1.30 except on Wednesday when school finishes for the day.

If you want you bring in a packed lunch from hkme.

Today is Wednesday the school finishes at 12.30 but i wont be leaving school at that time because i will be serving my detention.

I told you about the detention but i never told you what I did.

I was so bored that I made a paper plane and threw it in the classroom. I got a detention plus sent to the headmaster.

The headmaster told me he was contacting my school back in England i said why sir i have been punished for for the incident. He never answered me.

The question i have why tell my svhool of my bad behavior can anyone answer that for me.

Yesterday i got a detention for messing about in class. The lesson was so boring so to ease the boredom i messed about.

Then when I got home i told dad about the detention and he wasted no time and grounded me for 2 days.

My punizhment after thw grounding is to write a essay about myle fooling about in class to dad and then th3 teachet.

Today in language i am studying Belgium own language of Flemish it is compulsary in belgium's schools hoping its not too hard to learn.

In the belgian school i am attending there are rules that all boys must adhere to

1 No milling about in the corridorl

2 Random locker search

3 A random drug test at any time of the day

4 All pupils must stand up when a teacher enters the classroom

5 All boys must attend the military dacility building

6 Must attend weekly meeting with the Headmastee

7 No too much talking when in the dining room

8 At end of the day put chairs on table

9 Must attend on Friday attend a briefing on the school week

10 Homework is to be done at home except on wednesday when school finishes early.

11 Weekly health check with the medical nurse

12 No time wasting from lesson to lesson

13 Any confidscated items are to be collected on Friday

14 If you have more than 3 consfidscated items in a week its a visit to the headmaster or the deputy.

15 Sex education lessons are compulsary here

16 If playing sport for the school you have shake the opponents hand before the game

In general the rules are similar to my school as well as these rules.

The family i am staying with are very nice, unlike at home i am the middle boy as they 4 boys ones 20 then my friend 17 and the other boys same age as my brothers

My friend's dad is a policeman so I guess he is going to be strict and his mum works in the school as the headmasters secretary.

Rules of the house are no different to mine back home except for in the bathroom the toilet seat stays down all the time, bedtime is 8 30 and i have to up at 6.30. No slouching when in the living room mobile phone has to be handed to their mum when back from school and get back in morning.

Punishments if any are the same as home except for seated time when if naughty i will have sit in a hard chair for 10 minutes. And writing a apology essay to dad holding a brick arms stretched for 5 minutes as for endurance

I will be going to a,school in Belgium next week and the boy i have exchanged with will be going to my school.and staying at home and I will living with his family.

The school starts at 8 am and finishes at 3.30 but with me being in high school it will finish at 4.30. Wednesday the school finishes at 12 where you can do homework or go home. I will have to be in school by 7.45 ready to start the day.

The school ways of punishment are the same as my school except for in some cases pupils have symtand in the corner of classroom

Sport in the school i will be going to is no different to my school.

I said in my previous post i had to see the headmaster about the fight i broke up.

The other boy apparently told the headmaster that I smacked him on his bum to which I never.

The headmaster told me he saw my brother a d he said the other boy was lying so he said lad no action against you you can leave.

My brother got into a fight with another boy on Friday I dealt with it as I didnt want the the teachers to be involved.

I broke ths fight up and then gave them both a lunchtime detention and then the other boy went inside and me and brother on Monday have to see the headmaster, I understand why my brother had to but why me.

Its the of yesr where as head boy I have to write a report of what happend in school this year.as head.boy

How many coloured slips i gavs to other boys in the school. How many boys i reported straight to the headmaster. Plus how many boys I gave out litter picking slips to Then what is my prediction for the school next year and finally how the year went for with my own behaviour this year and what i can do better next yea. better

In history class yesterday we watched videos on how pupils at school was disciplined from the victorian days to it ending in the 1990s. From the cane to the slipper and ruler but mainly by the teachers hand

Came home and i told my dax what ee learned and he said he was punished at school and it didnt do him any harm.

I am wondering should some kind corporal punishment be brought back to tackle some unruly pupils in my class what does anyone think.

In America what form of this was used in schools across the different states?

This week my class is going on a spring camp.to get a away from school do activities and have fun at the same time.

This week my class will be going on a field trip and it will be educational plus fun at the same time.

What a waste of time this was all they said was a lab assisting to me to which isnt the path of work I will do if I get my degree.

Nothing was said about what A levels i am taking and what I wiĺl be studying at university so i feel why didnt they look at my studies before handing out jobs.

This wasnt just me the advice they gave my friend was the same.
