Where France's admirals just incompetent or inferior to Nelson's skills?
I mean to lose almost two whole main fleets in a span of 7 years is just crazy to me.
Especially since in the battle in Egypt, the French had a fantastic defensive position. How could they allow that gap to be there at the front of the defensive line?
