Trying to identify this old revolver

This old revolver was brought in to the gun shop I work at for a clean up and assessment, and we are trying to figure out what it is. It's definitely 1890's European, but has no markings other than a few proof stamps. From the bit of info I have found, it appears to be a Belgian Liège pistol but I can't confirm. I have recreated the proof marks as best I can if that helps. It is likely chambered in 8mm Lebel or possible 38 Colt.

I found a listing for a 12 gauge SxS with "Ranger Chief" on the listing and "Ranger" stamped on the left side of the frame under the barrel. Barrels are marked "Selected Forged Steel" and "Proof Tested 12 Gauge." 30" barrels, double triggers, serial number 71600.

Proofhouse lists "Ranger" as both a J. Stevens Arms trade name and a Sears Roebuck trade name circa 1925, but I haven't been able to pin down which manufacturer is underneath this one specifically.

Anyone have experience with the "Ranger Chief" name specifically, or able to point me toward the right serial range or maker?

I messaged the seller about more info but they didn't have much to say, its part of an estate sale they are managing.
