What is this gun in Three Amigos (1986)?

What is this gun in Three Amigos (1986)?

This is driving me nuts. Pretty much every revolver in the film is some model of the Single Action Army, and in this scene everybody is holding one except this guy. It looks to be a New Army shaped body with a SAA barrel. What could it be

Grandpa's Guns

Grandpa’s Guns
Hi everyone – I’m hoping to leverage the group knowledge here.
I recently inherited two older rifles from my grandfather’s estate and am trying to learn more about what I have, where they came from, and what the next steps might be for further research.
Background:
My grandfather was a very well-connected man in terms of his work and personal life, and these rifles were preserved but not documented. I am trying to approach this with some care and ensure that the history is preserved accurately rather than speculating.

Rifle #1 – Stevens
• Obviously a Stevens
• Barrel is marked “Patented August 12, 1913”
• Appears to be a single-shot sporting rifle
• Has a factory-made buttplate with a decorative scroll/wave design
• There is a bright green paint patch on the stock that appears to be an old inventory/rack/institutional marking (not factory)
My primary questions about this one:
• Model identification?
• Intended use market (sporting, training, youth, club, etc.)?
• Any information about the paint marking and its possible meaning?

Rifle #2 – Older / Unmarked (Possibly German)
This is more of a mystery and probably older.
The markings I’ve discovered so far are:
• “SUHL S & C”
• An eagle/bird emblem
• A small anchor mark, found on the metal parts and also stamped into the wood
• A faint German inscription that reads “Gewehrlauf Stahl” (steel rifle barrel)
As far as I can determine, this suggests a late 19th-century sporting rifle from the Suhl region of Germany, perhaps produced under the guild system, but I’d be delighted to hear any further information or corrections from those who know more about these rifles.
Questions about this rifle:
• Does the anchor mark appear to be a workshop or inspector’s mark?
• Is there any further information that might help to narrow down the date range?
• Is there a preferred forum, archive, or expert who focuses on Suhl trade guns?

I have included close-up photos of the markings, stocks, and actions.
I am not looking to sell – my aim is identification, historical information, and preservation. Any information on where I might proceed (forums, books, museums, collectors) would be a huge help.
Thanks in advance – really grateful for any information.

Not sure if this is the best group for this, but I found this rifle while digging a trench. Looks like a .22 and was probably a lever action. Any more information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Could this fire again?

My buddy just helped a ww2 enthusiast move and the guy gifted him this but said it’s been “decomissioned.” Now he knows absolutely nothing about guns but says that the guy said the firing pin has been removed and that they did something to clog the barrel. He says the slide won’t move but that the clip does release. Any idea if this thing could get into firing shape or is it just a straight replica?

Old Russian Capture K98k

I picked this up a warehouse in the suburban Twin Cities approximately 22-23 years ago. I had them pick out a rifle that was in good cosmetic condition, as you could choose which level of milsurp you wanted. I cleaned the ugly shellac off, swabbed out the barrel, removed the grease from all metal parts, oiled up, added a sling and put away in the safe it’s sat in for 20+ years. I’ve owned around 10-15 Mausers but this is my last remaining one. I believe it’s a Steyr barreled action with a FN Belgium barrel blank

Need help to authenticate this weird, possible fake, Mauser 98 action from 1934.

Hi, so I've seen this weird looking Mauser 98 action for sale and I want to have another opinion on it (is it completely fake, "improved", interesting/ hot garbage etc. from a collecting standpoint).

Obviously it is a real/functioning 98 style action, but is it an original mauser one from 1934? It visibly has been heavily worked (sanded) and it's seen some rust, but is that all?

What do you think?

Here are my observations, but before you read them please think for yourself, so that I'm not influencing anyones thought process:

>!My theory is that it's neither a mauser nor from 1934. It's actually a spanish mauser (aka la coruna/ santa barbara mauser) that has been modified to look like a rare and over the top 1934 mauser and to enhance it's worth.!<

>!The following points lead me to believe that:!<

>!Many spanish mausers have the straight bolt handle this one also has.!<

>!The receiver seems to be sanded pretty extremely in some areas, just like some markings were sanded away, the surface has become wavy and uneven/ not straight.!<

>!The Mauser banner seems to be weirdly shallow, like it's been etched/ lasered and not stamped. Also it's too far in the front, it should be more to the rear. The mauser werke font is also pretty shallow and weird!<

>!Proof stamps/ markings on the right side of the front trigger guard that I could only fins on spanish mausers. Some kind of "m" symbol and a circle with letters or some symbol inside.!<

>!An "S" on the back of the left side of the receiver is still visible, maybe it's the fiest letter of "spain". Many spanish mausers have "spain" written there. !<

>!The symbols in general just don't add up, I couldn't find images of a mauser 98 with even remotely similar stamps. The eagle with the swastika stamp is all over the place, sometimes at weird places. The Waa632 stamp is everywhere, sometimes 3x on the same part. 1934 is also pretty early for both the eagle swastika and the waa623 stamp (which also doesn't fit the mauser factory apparently).!<

>!The serial number is fitting for some spanish mausers, they partly also had four digit numbers with the same numbering style (except foe the actual bolt, couldn't find spanish mausers numbered like that, maybe also sanded).!<

>!The machining is also pretty shitty for a pre war original mauser!<

>!I'm pretty sure it's fake, but I'm not an expert here!<
