Hi, so I've seen this weird looking Mauser 98 action for sale and I want to have another opinion on it (is it completely fake, "improved", interesting/ hot garbage etc. from a collecting standpoint).
Obviously it is a real/functioning 98 style action, but is it an original mauser one from 1934? It visibly has been heavily worked (sanded) and it's seen some rust, but is that all?
What do you think?
Here are my observations, but before you read them please think for yourself, so that I'm not influencing anyones thought process:

The Waa632 stamp is everywhere, sometimes 3x on the same part. 1934 is also pretty early for both the eagle swastika and the waa623 stamp (which also doesn't fit the mauser factory apparently).!<

Hi, I've found loads of these small steel clips with my detector at multiple areas with american activity in ww2 germany. I have no idea what they are and what they were used for. Found some of them (including the ones on the pictures) in a giant pile with remains of the paper packing they were presumably packed in. They seem to be chromate coated. No markings at all. Labello as size comparison. Would be great if someone knows more😁
