46 year old sister drinking herself to what I believe is death

I have a 46 year sister who’s been a heavy drinker since she was about 21. The usual partying in college and then working in restaurants and partying with her coworkers. She always seemed to have it under control. I am 9 years younger than her so I never saw it as an issue. At some point when I was an adult we would drink together. She always out drank me and sometimes I’d end up having to take care of her. Still I never thought it was a real issue. Recently though it’s just been very bad. Since about the end of 2022 she’s been on a downward trajectory. She would show up places black out drunk, needing assistance to get around because she was so out of it. Finally her drinking came to a head and she was fired from a really good job in 2025. When she told me she got fired she gave a really bad excuse and I knew in my heart she wasn’t telling the truth so I was able to obtain the truth from some ex coworkers that she indeed got fired due to her drinking. She was showing up to work black out drunk. So I drove 18 hours and staged an intervention in which she didn’t seem surprised and said she knew she had a problem and was actively working on her sobriety. At the end of 2025 beginning of 2026 she was able to land another job but that was short lived as she got fired again for showing black out drunk. Over the past year she has dropped a drastic amount of weight, her muscles seem to be wasting, her feet and hands are constantly peeling, her stomach is distended and she’s got yellow eyes.

The most recent incident that has me scared is she tried to drink and it immediately came back up, she tried two more times and the alcohol would not stay in her body. She then started vomiting up gray stuff, dry heaving really badly, heavy labored breathing, could not walk 10 feet to the bathroom without assistance and was overall unwell. She stopped drinking for 9 days started eating again and said she just needed to start exercising and she would be ok. She has flat out refused to go to the dr. She started drinking again a couple of days ago but is still claiming that she’s sober.

I don’t even know what the point of this post is but I’m scared and tired. The not knowing is killing me. Will she finally quit? Will she drink for a few more years and have a medical emergency? Will she just one day not wake up?

Thanks for listening.

@AuntLisa aka absolutely Lisa isn’t even trying to hide her drinking at this point

Lisa posted to her IG story today a several part video using a device on her face and in the background of one clip there’s no white claw and in the next one there is. She says she got up to clean while the device was on her face but as we can see she also grabbed a drink as well.

@Auntie Lisa has a video from 5/31/26.

There’s a bottle of wine sitting on her counter. Wouldn’t this have been the same day that she ranted about being sober?

@AuntieLisa has absolutely been drinking.

A couple of weeks ago it was posted here that she was defending herself against accusations against being drunk. Well she posted a video of her and at the end she’s driving and there’s a tiny wine bottle in her lap. The liquid is sloshing around. Usually they are filled to the brim so she took atleast a sip. So many people defended her. She’s clearly still drinking though and how is that affecting her son who just got out of rehab? This lady is a freakin mess.

I am a 37 year old mom of two who’s always had an hour glass figure but I’ve gained weight. I always say my figure is out of time 😂 I am 5’2” and I weigh 159lbs. Could stand to lose about 30lbs or so, which I am actively working to do. So I know I’m overweight but wanted others opinions as well.

My weight mainly goes to my face, stomach and arms.
