2EW should turn into WW3 if there's ideological allignment between Western Europe and the victor of 2ACW

This would happen if:

-Non-Caligula UoA won 2ACW and NATO won 1EW (or if Fehlinger/Schwab took over EU after the federalization)

-APLA/RR/GMAC/BLA (Black Hammers) won 2ACW and EuroIntern emerged

-PF/NSM/LoS (Klan) won 2ACW and Pact of Steel emerged

The outcomes of this 2EW turned WW3 would be

-If North America and Western Europe win; the satellite state of ETO/NATO/PoS/EuroIntern encompasses all of Russia

-If Russia somehow still beats Western Europe, North America will launch its nuclear arsenal, causing a nuclear war which leads to mainland US turning into a wasteland; while Russia annexes Alaska and sets up a satellite state in Canada

Why would anyone join the Crusader Knights?

All Crusader Knights are subject to an Oath of Penance; where they get instantly condemned and their only path to salvation is dying in combat; while if they die of sickness (except if it's Black Grail I guess), accidents or old age, they're denied the last rites.

Why would someone willingly subject himself to this, which is arguably worse than the Trench Pilgrims or the New Antioch Army
