Most RP regions let you decide how big and rich your nation is. I wanted to try the opposite: in Taegus, you pick a tier for each of your three core stats (population, area, GDP per capita), but the tiers you choose can't add up past a cap — so you can be huge, or rich, or sprawling, but not all three. Then your exact numbers get rolled at random inside your chosen tiers.

The pitch is a balanced, believable world with no self-declared superpowers, but still plenty of variety (and a little luck) in what you end up with.

Longtime NS player here, but I have been thinking about this concept for a couple years.

Honest reactions wanted, especially from people who've been around a while: does this sound fun to actually play, or does forced/randomized stats kill the appeal? Roast it.

When I started my original nation in February 2023, I was only 11 (had not turned 12 yet) and I couldn't think of another word than "Unclear".

Now, I want to know how YOU come up with your nation name, and how other people's minds came up with the names

I have looked and am struggling to find regions that arent sci-fi, let alone pre-1800 in technology, can anyone here suggest smth??

Discord is home to millions of users from all around the world. While many country nameplates are already available, there are still numerous countries—including Malaysia—that are missing. Every user should have the opportunity to proudly represent their own country and identity within the platform.

Adding nameplates for every officially recognized country would make Discord more inclusive and ensure that no community feels left out. Whether someone is from Malaysia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, or any other nation that doesn't yet have a nameplate, everyone deserves equal representation.

This would be a relatively small addition but one that would have a meaningful impact on millions of users worldwide. It would celebrate Discord's diverse global community and allow everyone to proudly display their national flag.
