How and when should I start?

English is not my first language. I am fairly comfortable with written English but I struggle when it comes to speaking it fluently.

I am currently pursuing a five-year law degree and am in my second year. I want to attempt the TOEFL in my third or fourth year itself so that I can complete and submit my applications on time without rushing at the end.

Before joining any coaching or helping classes I want to work on my verbal English by myself. However, I am not sure how to start or what to focus on. The English I know right now is mostly at a high school level.

Could someone please guide me this especially for someone like me who understands written English well but hesitates while speaking?

Also, I kinda mess up the standardized english (or just tests in general).

So recently, I was part of a competition where I did okay-ish (minimum, however I gave on my sleep for this comp.), and some people did their best.
I have Jyestha placement with Mercury as AK, and Rohini in my big 3. I JUST feel so fired up about all this because someone who had no ability to do better than me actually did, and there are people defo better than them..

HOW DO I even get around this feeling? I've been feeling this since yesterday and just can't sleep because of this extreme jealousy.

---->> And if you're here to hate comment, then don't.
Just comment on someone else's post if you really wish to share your wisdom.

I have realized moots aren't really for me. But I don't want my CV to look bad either. What other positives can I add like publications, etc. Would that be enough to balance out the lack of moot experience?

I felt so embarrassed today, I stutter in my own mother tongue. And it's all because of retrograde Mercury aspecting my 2nd house, with Mars there too. I just don't know how to even work on this.
