International student shift from a general master's in EU to EMJM?? HELP Needed!!

Need some expert advice right here. I (an international student from SEA) have worked 70% of the way towards joining my Master's in Italy, then I got an offer from a program I really like and am interested in joining. Here is the thing: it would have been easy if the EMJM mobility also started in Italy, but it starts in Germany. Unfortunately, German visa appointments from my home country are impossible to get within this short period of time(no priority given for Erasmus scholars, general appointments require 26 months of waiting).

So here is what I am planning: I will join the Italian University this August, get the residence permit, and then apply for a German visa from Italy (let me know if it's possible or if I'm delusional). Funny thing is, my second semester will be in Italy for the EMJM program. Tbh, this now seems to be the only viable way for me to join my dream EMJM program. just need experts, or someone experienced who transferred from a general master's in EU to EMJM.

I need to know if I join my general masters in Italy in Early to mid august, can I join the EMJM in Germany by mid September with all the paperwork done and no issues with visa in either of the two countries? I believe there is a German consulate in Milan and Rome.

MS2 Consortium Scholarship | Can I earn living cost or manage funding after enrolling

Received the offer yesterday. The tuition is doable, but what I need to know is, can I manage the living and transportation somehow for this program? The website says that after enrolling, other funding opportunities will become available, but I am not sure what to do. Self-funding the program makes sense to me rather than trying next year for the fully funded scholarship.

Anyone here planning to self-fund MS2??

Any alumni here who worked during the semesters??
