What’s a home purchase you use more than expected and hope lasts for years?

I never really saw myself buying a robot mower, but this summer I finally tried one.

We went away for a few days recently, and I set it to mow while we were gone. Came home to a lawn that still looked tidy, which was a hell of a lot nicer than coming back from a trip and immediately having another chore waiting for me.

Before this, if we had somewhere to go on the weekend, I’d either squeeze in a mow before we left or deal with an overgrown lawn when we got back.

Definitely one of those purchases I thought I’d use once in a while and now use all the time. At this point I’m just hoping it holds up for years, because I really don’t want to go back lol.

What’s one home gadget you didn’t expect to use this often?

I never really saw myself buying a robot mower. But the summer rolled around and I finally tried a robot mower. Not that bad honestly.

We went away for a few days recently and I tried to set it to mow while we were gone. Surprisingly, came home and the lawn still looked tidy, which was a hell of a lot nicer than coming back from a trip.

Before this, if we had somewhere to go on the weekend, I’d either squeeze in a mow before we left or deal with it when we got back. Definitely one of those purchases I thought I’d use once in a while and now use way more than I expected.

What’s yours?

Update on my SE seat cushion replacement

Quick update in case this helps anyone else.

My liberNovo SE arrived in late June, and after a day or two I noticed the seat cushion had started to sag a little. After some back and forth with support, they agreed to send me a replacement.

It took around three to four weeks to arrive. The new cushion felt good when I first checked it, but I was still a little nervous it wouldn't be much different from the old one. Luckily, this one has been fine. I sat in it for a full afternoon and evening, and it never compressed all the way down. The support under my thighs feels much better too.

My SE is finally ready for regular use haha.

Support kept following up throughout the process as well. I got a little impatient at times and my tone probably wasn't great, but support stayed patient and kept helping me sort it out. Overall, the replacement process went smoothly. Alright, Libernovo, you're forgiven.
